Senior Manager, Digital Governance & Brand Safety
Overview
We're seeking a highly organized, proactive, and digitally fluent Senior Manager, Digital Governance & Brand Safety to help protect and strengthen our corporate brand presence across social and digital media. In this role, you'll be responsible for managing governance operations, platform access, brand safety protocols, and policy enforcement, ensuring our company shows up consistently, securely, and responsibly online.
You will collaborate across communications, brand protection, IT security, legal, and marketing teams to implement best-in-class processes for access control, policy enforcement, and digital brand integrity. Your work will directly support a safe, consistent, and responsible brand experience across every digital touchpoint.
Responsibilities
Brand Safety & Access Management:
- Partner with the brand protection team and internal stakeholders to monitor brand safety across all social media channels.
- Assess accounts regularly and implement appropriate access controls and user permissions to minimize risk.
- Manage the secure distribution, tracking, and regular updating of platform credentials and permissions across internal and agency teams.
- Maintain a centralized, auditable registry of all official company social accounts, including ownership, access levels, and platform purpose.

- Manage new social handle requests, including processes for creation, naming, verification, and deactivation, ensuring alignment with PepsiCo governance policies.
- Conduct quarterly audits of platform access, policy adherence, content compliance, and brand safety performance across regions and functions.
Policy Governance:
- Own and maintain the global employee social media policy, partnering with the Senior Director of Social & Digital Strategy and legal/compliance leads to ensure it reflects current best practices, risk mitigation measures, and platform standards.
- Lead internal communications and training efforts for associates and agencies, around policy updates and responsible platform usage.
- Maintain and evolve global toolkits and policy documentation, ensuring they are actionable, accessible, and localized as needed.
- Triage and respond to inquiries submitted to the global social media inbox, escalating issues and collaborating with appropriate teams for resolution.
Crisis Response:
- Serve as the first point of contact for brand safety concerns and monitor the global social media inbox, triaging and escalating as necessary.
- Monitor for impersonation, misuse, unauthorized content, or suspicious activity and work with platforms and internal security teams to swiftly resolve violations.
- Support execution of the social media crisis response plan, working with corporate communications and crisis teams during real-time issues.
Content Compliance & Guidelines:
- Collaborate with the content team to ensure all social media and digital content (organic and paid) adheres to brand standards, corporate voice, and regulatory compliance guidelines.
- Conduct regular audits of owned properties for outdated content, policy violations, and platform inconsistencies.
- Help develop and enforce playbooks and publishing guardrails for regional and brand teams.
Platform & Vendor Risk Management:
- Partner with legal and procurement to evaluate and approve new platforms, tools, and vendors for governance and security compliance.
- Help maintain contracts, data usage policies, and security documentation related to social media technologies and services.
Compensation and Benefits:
- The expected compensation range for this position is between $118,700 - $198,800.

- Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 15% of annual salary paid out annually.
- Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications
- 5-7+ years of experience in digital operations, social media governance, brand safety, or a related role within a large, matrixed organization.
- Strong knowledge of social media platform policies, content standards, and access protocols (Meta, X, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.).
- Familiarity with tools such as Sprinklr, Okta, Dashlane, or other enterprise social media management and security platforms.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail; able to manage multiple policies, workflows, and access points globally.
- Clear communicator with the ability to write and implement policy documents and respond to sensitive internal inquiries.
- Collaborative mindset with experience working cross-functionally with IT, Legal, HR, Security, and Communications teams.
- Familiarity with global data privacy standards as they relate to social media (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
