As part of the fast-paced and driven PepsiCo Global Regulatory Affairs team, you will be responsible for ensuring faultless compliance of formulas and labeling for several brands within the PepsiCo Foods US Business Unit. The overall Regulatory Affairs team is a global organization, interacting across the world to ensure compliance and freedom to operate. This team is critical to the innovation/renovation process from ideas all the way through to launch. You will have the opportunity to interact regularly with many other functions including but not limited to product development, marketing, purchasing, and legal.

The primary focus of this position is to provide regulatory expertise to key Frito-Lay and Quaker brands and support the expanding global market distribution of PepsiCo Foods products. This includes authoring ingredient statements, nutrition facts, substantiating claims, and approving graphics that help consumers make informed choices about PepsiCo Foods. In this role you will be responsible for multiple Frito-Lay and Quaker brands and ensuring the accuracy of the regulatory information in R&D databases, in specifications and on final artwork. The position will involve work on multiple product task force groups to provide input on nutrition labeling, claims and regulatory questions as well as packaging timelines.

The position requires an excellent understanding and application of US Food and Drug Administration labeling regulations to assure the accuracy of ingredient statements, nutrition facts, allergen declarations and claims, an outstanding attention to detail and a passion for proper processes and documentation. As a Regulatory Affairs Associate Scientist, you must be able to monitor, interpret and ensure compliance with US regulations today and into the future. Strong project management, prioritization and influencing skills will be required to move timelines forward. An innate desire to help others and collaborate for success of the team will be key to success in this role. A basic application of US Food and Drug Administration labeling regulations will be beneficial, but training will also be provided as part of the onboarding process.

Compensation and Benefits:

• The expected compensation range for this position is between $60,000 - $100,500 based on a full-time schedule.
• Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary.
• Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications

  • BS in Food Science, Nutrition Science, Engineering or equivalent as minimum
  • 1-2 years regulatory affairs experience with knowledge of FDA and USDA food regulations preferred
  • Excellent computer skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize workload, balance multiple tasks and work independently
  • Strong sense of urgency and commitment to meet timelines
