PepsiCo, a leader in the food and beverage industry, has an opening for a role on the PFNA E2E FSQA team. This role is required to support the PFNA Portfolio of the future agenda supporting Product Development in ideation, scale up & commercialization of New Products & Technology by completing any/all food safety assessments.
The candidate must deeply understand Food Safety requirements and regulations and how these translate to Manufacturing operations. An ideal candidate must be able to drive impact, influence others, and articulate ideas through all levels of the organization. They must be able to develop effective working relationships and gain resource support to enable business and team success.

- Strong foundational knowledge of Food Safety & Quality Requirements
- Ability to navigate across multiple systems and digital tools
This individual must support multiple high-paced innovation projects to minimize food safety risks during commercialization and scale-up.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Newly created 'Portfolio Of The Future' agenda in delivering New Product Innovation for PFNA resulting in incremental revenue.
- Provide expert Food Safety recommendations to 'new to Pepsico' kind of project activities within foods R&D.
- Complete all Food Safety-related activities for scale-up including but not limited to Ingredients hazard assessments, Food Safety Risk assessment for process & formula.
- Engage and collaborate with cross-functional teams and create all necessary food documents including but not limited to Qualification, PEM monitoring, Sanitation verification, and Line & Site assessments.
- Be a results-oriented "change agent" who can understand different scenarios and help facilitate big-picture and tactical execution throughout all projects.
- Provide One FSQA Voice to the Innovation process by completing required assessments.
- Champion creative thinking and people development to elevate and grow dedicated team members while supporting career aspirations
- Travel 15-30%
Compensation & Benefits:
- The expected compensation range for this position is between $106,400 - $178,100.
- Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
- Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 12% of annual salary paid out annually.
- Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications
- Required Bachelor's or Master's degree in food science or equivalent engineering or science degree
- Minimum 7+ years experience in food safety & quality for a global consumer goods company
- Certified HACCP or PCQI or Food Safety / Quality Auditor or Certified Food Safety / Quality Engineer required
- Background in Manufacturing/Product Development/Quality Assurance and Foods Safety
- Knowledge and experience in food processes that can be related to scale up & commercialization activities
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices, CQV processes, and audit practices.
- Strong technical knowledge in Food Safety related topics including but not limited to Allergens, Sanitation, Microbiology, Pathogen control, Thermal processing, and ability to use it for risk assessment of ingredients, processes & formulas.
- Demonstrated ability to identify critical data and distill it into business-focused technical recommendations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while dealing with ambiguity and managing changes
- Strong leadership, influencing & consensus building skills
- Excellent communication & presentation skills; ability to simplify complex concepts & systems to drive alignment around critical objectives
- Demonstrate practical application of risk-based approach
- Knowledge of End to End integrated quality metrics for the entire value chain covering ingredients, product development, manufacturing, distribution, and consumers etc.
- Ability to travel to field locations (15% - 30%)
