R&D Eng Technician

Overview
The R&D Eng Technician supports all plant process equipment. From setting up equipment to making repairs.
Responsibilities
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures for legacy and new process and building equipment.
- Act as liaison between operators and OEM for process equipment maintenance.
- Attend daily meetings included but not limited to design, workflow, and safety.
- Be able to evaluate work processes with EHS. Must have basic understanding of OSHA standards.
- Troubleshoot process plant equipment. Thorough knowledge of Cold/Hot Fill process equipment, conveyors and packaging equipment.
- Considerable experience of working on pumps and motors. Candidate must possess ability to change pumps seals and troubleshoot motor failures.
- Candidate must be familiar with process of switching to multiple change parts to support various packaging within the process equipment.
- Take part in continuous improvement of PepsiCo GEHSMS standards.
- Candidate must have excellent communication skills; Ability to interact with various levels of trade.
- Have ability to spec parts needed for efficient and reliable operation of process equipment.
- Food Quality and Safety - Hire will play a vital role in maintaining relationship between food quality/safety and the maintenance team.
- Act as a champion for all safety procedures and protocols and lead by example in all safety matters
- Adhere to Pepsi R&D safety standards.
Compensation and Benefits:
- The expected compensation range for this position is between $59,000 - $88,500.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Prior experience of working on process equipment and conveyance systems.
- 2 years of experience as a mechanic/ technician
- Knowledge of pneumatic systems.
- Experience in a consumer products research & development function a plus.
- This position is limited to persons with indefinite right to work in the United States.
