Responsibilities
Advance the flavor research platform to drive the development & application of flavors in support of global business growth.
- Drive flavor research in citrus & other natural categories to unlock technological advances to understand fundamentals.
- Exhibit end to end thinking to apply research to strategic business initiatives.
- Work closely with flavorist, product development, regulatory & other PepsiCo functions, as well as external partners, as necessary to drive deeper understanding of flavor science.
- Understand implications of flavor research design and incorporate quality principles in work processes and output to deliver development initiatives with a total system mindset
- Demonstrate strong technical skills, experimental design knowledge & strategic/logically thinking.
- Design & conduct experiments which progress fundamental understanding within the flavor science space. Monitor and review research data and feedback.
- Communication skills for presenting scientific information to target audiences across levels.
Compensation and Benefits:
- The expected compensation range for this position is between $106,400 - $178,100.
- Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
- Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 12% of annual salary paid out annually.
- Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications
- M.S. with a minimum of 5 years experience in Chemistry, Food Science or related STEM discipline, PhD or Post-doc in food & flavor science, strongly preferred.
- Strong track records of leading experimental design & scientific learning-citrus & natural materials experience preferred.
- Well-developed critical thinking skills required to solve technical problems utilizing standard research methodology.
- Technology & computational skills are required.
- Outstanding teamwork, communication, and leadership skills; highly motivated, results oriented with the ability to manage multiple research projects and prioritize the global/regional beverage research initiatives to meet business objectives
