Responsibilities
The LD& T senior manager provides field support for our front-line managers within the DSD transport department. Supports safety and regulatory compliance across the transport function while also providing private fleet management expertise. Responsibility for developing plans required to deliver financial and service goals within Transportation/Logistics function. Coordination and execution of over $45 million in spend across multiple locations .

Annual truckload volume > 50,000 shipments. Position based in Munster, IN
- Provides field level support to ensure compliance with safety processes and programs
- Provides field level support to assist field managers with regulatory compliance
- Works with Transport Directors to develop Future Fleet initiatives and KPI's
- Ensure carrier execution against transportation requirements, meeting requirements of internal and external customers. Support of the bi-annual procurement event and ensure bid readiness.
- Ensure compliance metrics for private fleet is maintained and the company fleet is cost efficient and able to provide world class dependability and service.
- Initiative leadership and alignment with Planning and Warehouse to positively assist in capacity management and support of Payload initiative.
- Transportation support of product innovation and timely execution of network transitions/sourcing changes without interruption to the supply chain
- Management and execution of carrier surge planning; minimize billing/payment disruption to carrier base by supporting freight payment guidelines on surge, spot and RG planned activity
- Period financial reviews: Delivery of actionable items and deviations from AOP, work in conjunction with finance team for financial cause-of-change and forecast alignments
- Power of One Synergies: Active participation in Regional and National Better Together Meetings; drive synergy opportunity, leveraging private and dedicated fleet(s) and engaging regional leads in new opportunity and solid understanding of the network, empty mile opportunity, co-load, and define and resolve network challenges
- Manage and define transportation solutions for complex/JIT shipments.
Compensation and Benefits:
- The expected compensation range for this position is between $118,700 - $198,800.
- Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
- Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 15% of annual salary paid out annually.
- Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Logistics, Engineering or Supply Chain Management
- Ability to influence cross functionally
- 4-7 years of previous work experience in transportation
- Demonstrated leadership experience (i.e. initiative, planning, organizing, judgment, and emotional intelligence)
- Ability to lead complex projects while supporting day to day operations
- Intermediate competency with Microsoft office suite (i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
- Flexibility to work an extended schedule with on-call responsibility
- Must have a team / collaboration-based approach to decision making
- Must have a "Can Do" attitude with a willingness to assist others in completing activities as needed
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Must have strong oral/written communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills to formulate effective action plans to deal with issues proactively
- Must have ability to manage multiple accountabilities simultaneously and prioritize workload
- Exceptional team player who operates with a high level of professionalism
