What you'll do:

This individual is responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory control to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. This role plays a critical part in maintaining SOX compliance, supporting quality control processes, and collaborating cross-functionally to maintain seamless inventory flow and order fulfillment. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, collaborative, and experienced in inventory systems and warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the Inventory Control Specialist, providing daily direction, performance feedback, training, and support to ensure accurate inventory practices and alignment with operational goals.
  • Monitor and manage non-conforming inventory, including damaged, expired, secondary market, and foodbank-designated products.
  • Maintain compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements through accurate recordkeeping and audit readiness.
  • Monitor and report on key inventory KPIs such as freshness and fill rate.
  • Collaborate with Quality Control teams to enforce and release quality holds in a timely manner.
  • Manage production release processes and confirm product availability for outgoing orders.
  • Work closely with the Delivery Processor to ensure timely and accurate order releases.
  • Oversee GMR order maintenance and ensure proper documentation and execution.
  • Manage donation order processes, ensuring compliance with internal and external guidelines.
  • Work with the Inventory Control Specialist to conduct regular cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor inventory accuracy between E80 and JDA systems.
  • Handle order returns, ensuring proper documentation, system updates, and inventory reconciliation.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $64,300 - $107,650.
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 8% of annual salary paid out annually.
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred in related field or equivalent experience.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience leading and developing others in business, inventory, logistics, transportation and distribution, or related field.
  • Ability to create a safe working environment, ensuring that all team members are knowledgeable of good safety practices and procedures.
  • Demonstrated people and leadership skills with a record of achieving positive business results.
  • Ability to give and receive constructive feedback.
  • Effective communication, coaching, facilitation, presentation, and team building skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, high intensity environment.
  • Working knowledge of TPM or process improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to work off-shifts, weekends and overtime when needed.
  • Project management skills.
  • Advanced in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
