IBP Data Governance Lead for FLNA

Overview

PepsiCo is establishing a FLNA Data Governance Lead role that will be the custodian of the IBP FLNA processes, policies, rules, and standards by which the Company will define its most critical data.

Enabling this program will:

  • Define ownership and accountability of our critical IBP FLNA data assets to ensure they are effectively managed and maintain integrity throughout PepsiCo's systems.
  • Leverage FLNA data as a strategic enterprise asset enabling data-based decision analytics.
  • Improve productivity and efficiency of daily FLNA business operations.

Position Overview:

The Integrated Business Planning (IBP) FLNA Data Governance role is responsible for leading a team that ensures our IBP FLNA deployment adhere to and maintain alignment to the Enterprise Data Governance's processes, rules, and standards to support FLNA business functions as well the Global IBP (gIBP) program. This role is responsible for identifying all FLNA data owners (business and IT), data sources, and data sets required based on defined data requirements needed for the program.

Additionally, this role will be driving the team to interact directly with key FLNA project stakeholders, Global Data Governance team, other data stewards across the organization and relevant SMEs throughout the organization as necessary.

This role will work closely with a team of data engineers who build data pipelines from various source systems and support IBP demand, supply and financial planning processes across all deployments. It will be working in a hybrid environment with in-house and external data sources. It will be a collaborative leader, who drives for results and is nimble to handle the changes that will invariably come in a complex program at various stages of deployment globally, and particularly for the FLNA deployment.

Responsibilities

The IBP FLNA Data Governance Director will create and own the data discovery and onboarding process for the IBP Program. S/he will drive alignment for data requirements that meet the FLNA needs while maintaining the integrity of the gIBP solution.

  • Landscape configuration management.
  • Data Standard changes.
  • Work with the Global IBP Product, Planning, and Deployment teams to drive alignment across other deployments.
  • Collaborate with FLNA Demand and Supply Chain leaders, Financial Planning leaders, and IT leaders to identify data sources fit for IBP requirements.

Lead a Team of Data Stewards who:

  • Drive consistent IBP global data strategy, design, requirements, and process from sourcing, ingestion, and consumption.
  • Promote data accuracy and adherence to PepsiCo defined data management and governance practices, as well as driving acceptance of PepsiCo's enterprise data standards and policies across the NA Sectors.
  • Define and advise relevant stakeholders as appropriate on data process and standards.
  • Accountable for ensuring that data-centric activities are aligned with the GDG program and leverage applicable data standards, governance processes, and overall best practices.
  • Ensure alignment of the data processes and standards with applicable enterprise, business segment, and local data support models.
  • Monitor key data management and governance metrics to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the critical data within their domain(s).
  • Advise on various projects and initiatives to ensure that any data related changes and dependencies are identified, communicated and managed to ensure adherence with the Enterprise Data Governance established standards.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $135,000 - $227,500 based on a full-time schedule.
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary.
  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility; target payout is 15% of annual salary paid out annually.
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience working with Data, technology, and experience within a global CPG (Consumer Packaged Good) company; Strong data management background who understands data, how to ingest data, proper data use / consumption, data quality, and stewardship.
  • 5-10 years of experience working in FLNA Supply Chain and Financial Planning, associated processes, involved systems and interdependent data.
  • 10+ years of experience leading/managing a team.
  • Ability to partner with the business and technical subject matter experts to ensure standardization of operational information and execution of enterprise-wide data governance policies and procedures are defined and implemented.
  • Experience working across the PepsiCo organization, ideally with multi-country or global implementation experience involving data.
