eComm Full Stack Engineer

Our team is at the center of an industry wide shift where the separate eCommerce and brick and mortar businesses are moving to a unified view of the whole consumer experience. From sales management, to supply chain and in store tech-enabled decision making we build products that help drive key business outcomes. Our teams are self-organized and fast moving, we ship new work daily and have close working relationships with our end users.

We're taking on bigger and more ambitious projects this year and our team is looking for highly motivated self-starters to help us achieve an ambitious set of goals. This is a cross functional role where you will work with business stakeholders, coach junior developers, take on difficult technical tasks, and collaborate with product and design. • You will own full stack feature development end-to-end, spanning data modeling, testing, scalability, operability and ongoing metrics.
• We work in Elixir: however, languages can be learned. We put more emphasis on your general engineering skill and willingness to learn than knowledge of a particular language or framework.
• We need you to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to take on new problems across the backend as we continue to push technology forward.
• You will develop in depth domain knowledge and leverage that to build better products.

• The expected compensation range for this position is between $100,000 - $182,500 based on a full-time schedule.
• Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary.
• A business development incentive equity may be awarded based on eligibility and performance.

• Bachelor's Degree (Computer Science or related preferred).
• Professional experience using Elixir or another functional programming language.
• Experience defining system architectures and exploring technical feasibility tradeoffs.
• 6+ years of professional experience in software development.
• 3+ years of exposure to building full stack applications.
• Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, continuous integrations, testing, and operations.
• Hands-on experience with Azure, AWS, or similar.

• Elixir (FP experience is fine e.g. Clojure, Haskell, OCaml, F#)
