Job Title: Director - Design & Innovation, FLNA, NA

Responsibilities

Duties: Direct & contribute to the successful launch of human centered food product innovation and solutions, focused within a short-, mid- or long-term timeframe. This includes and not limited to regional launch, market activations, or other test and learn opportunities. These solutions center on reframe, break-in & break-out innovation, to grow brands, categories and gain critical business learnings. Directing scalable and affordable solutions for the organization in US, in close partnership with the cross-functional US team, help commercialize within the target market, ensuring that the innovation is successfully launched. Report into the Senior Director of Design Innovation and work in collaboration with other Global and Regional Design, Marketing, Insights, and R&D leaders to effectively develop and deliver launch strategies (i.e. brand, product, packaging, retail, merchandising) that add business and consumer value. Champion, Educate and Apply design-led thinking, 4-lens thinking, user research techniques, market and consumer research methodologies to identify key need gaps in the market and deliver effective design innovation strategies & holistic business solutions. Analyze market and consumer research data to build successful 'Go to Market' strategies. Able to decode competitor strategies, asses current and upcoming market and consumer trends, and analyze category landscape to establish critical KPIs for successful product launches. Manage the ambiguity inherent in innovation projects/processes and develop creative learning plans to channel it into desirable, feasible, and viable concreate outputs. Solve complex product, packaging, and branding problems; uncovering transformation opportunities to help brands get the most out of their design investments. Lead end to end Innovation projects, embedded in consumer trends and insights, portfolio brand strategy, and commercial practicalities.

Qualifications

Job Requirements: Must have a Master's degree in Strategic Design Management, Marketing Research, Innovation Management, or Design Research and 6 (six) years of experience in the offered or related roles, or a Bachelor's degree in Strategic Design Management, Marketing Research, Innovation Management, or Design Research and 8 years of experience in the offered or related roles. Must have two (2) years with: Design experience in Industrial/Product Design, Graphic/ Fashion Design, Advertising/Branding, Design Strategy or Brand Strategy; Developing and delivering effective design and marketing strategies along with tangible in-market solutions in partnership with key business leaders; Subject matter expert in 4 lens thinking, Design thinking, System Design methodologies, Brand Development, and Human Centered Design processes; Experience in creating Business models, with the approach to build iterative 'Test & Learn' capabilities; Design Research or Marketing Research experience; Building cross functional partnership to create successful 'Go to Market' strategies; Understanding and capturing Market, Category, and Consumer trends to create successful launch strategies; Quantitative and Qualitative Consumer Research techniques, Design Research methodologies, Design or Marketing Solution Testing, and Competitor assessment techniques, used to identify 'Key success criteria's' and 'size of prize' for each innovation solution; Must have one (1) year experience with: Innovation Management; Leading end to end innovation projects; Planning and building incremental and disruptive innovation launch strategies in terms of product, packaging, service, and Branding; Adapting and integrating innovative Test & Learn launch strategies.
