Responsibilities

The position will provide aseptic control engineering and technical support to operation and maintenance department. In this role, the individual will participate to review aseptic filling process plan, design, implementation and manage continuous improvement to enhance business objectives and operational performance. This will include developing processes and procedures for aseptic beverage manufacturing and packaging, performing validation evaluations and writing/executing validation protocols.

  • Assist project manager to install and commission aseptic process
  • Responsible for the process improvements in the areas of batching, CIP/SIP, and aseptic
  • Ensures compliance of aseptic process parameters and operational conditions with PepsiCo
  • Responsible for improvement initiatives that define equipment data, equipment capabilities, utilization and efficiencies
  • As subject matter expert, provide technical leadership in the areas of batching, CIP/SIP, and aseptic
  • Support execution of the Commissioning, Qualification, and Validation activities for new Aseptic Filling
  • Management of control Equipment Vendors, including project execution, on-site maintenance and calibration visits, vendor-supplied training to operation and maintenance staff, management of continuous improvement projects
  • Support transition from project to sustaining manufacturing and ramp-up of production volumes in future by improving equipment reliability through Continuous Improvement and TPM
  • Coordinate technical deliverables within Aseptic Operations team to support successful process and product launches
  • Provide trouble shooting, problem analysis and technical support to the plant as needed for all Allen Bradley, Rockwell, and other control programming
  • Specify, bid, select, and purchase required equipment, parts and contract installation services for assigned projects to assure that the project is implemented as scheduled with minimal production
  • Develop and apply innovative and creative methods in order to solve routine and chronic
  • Lead and participate in cross-functional groups to investigate and resolve technical issues, drive continuous improvement, and process optimization
  • Manage change in aseptic Filling and thermal process as per site change control
  • Participate in regulatory inspections as a Subject Matter Expert (SME)

Compensation & Benefits:

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $72,500 - $121,300 based on a full-time schedule
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary
  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility; target payout is 10% of annual salary paid out annually
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement

Qualifications

  • 4-5 years minimum of hands-on experience in plant electrical applications, Wonderware, A-B PLC's
  • Basic understanding of Control
  • Strong electrical skills

Preferred

  • Technical Degree and/or Associate Degree
  • Aseptic Control background
  • Experience in the food & beverage industry
  • Robust organization skills in the areas of maintaining and upgrading software and programming
  • Danfoss Drives, Ethernet communications and HMI programming
  • Strong foundation in interpersonal communication concepts, specifically written oral presentation, listening, and facilitation skills, demonstrated by leading team members while facilitating change and fostering innovation
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, aggressive, results oriented
  • Project management skills as demonstrated in the areas of planning, scheduling, and execution up to and including process, packaging and/or machine
  • Highly motivated self-starter with proven problem-solving
  • Willingness to work off shifts & weekends
