Responsibilities

  • Be the External Communications Expert: Serve as the trusted go-to for our brand marketing teams, guiding all things external comms with deep knowledge, confidence and finesse.
  • Drive Best-In-Class Campaigns: Dream up and deliver high-impact communications plans that blend creative ideas, insights, earned media, and influencers to support brand positioning and partnerships, product launches, and other brand priorities.
  • Excel in Media Relations: Cultivate strong media relationships and pitch stories that break through the noise with both traditional media and emerging media platforms- because our brands deserve the front page and the feed.
  • Measure Success: Measure what matters. Track and report the effectiveness our communications programs results to the maximize impact of how we report results.
  • Support Crisis Communications: Be ready to jump in and support crisis and issues communications as needed.
  • Lead Reputation Management: Strong gut for risk assessment is a must. Review external social media, influencer content, talent and brand partnerships, etc. to ensure our brands maintain their superiority.
  • Be a Team Player: Work cross-functionally with other communications teams, marketing, legal etc. to make sure our bench of internal experts are engaged and strengthening our programs.
  • Keep a Pulse on Industry Trends: Keep your finger on the pulse of industry and cultural trends and current events that could impact our programming. Proactively bring insights that inspire big thinking.
  • Agency Management: Oversee and manage the work of multiple agency teams, ensuring resourcing ladders up to business priorities and flawless execution.
  • Be Nimble: PepsiCo has a diverse house of brands that are constantly evolving. Being flexible and agile to flex into new ways of working is crucial to success in this role.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $106,400 - $178,100.
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 12% of annual salary paid out annually.
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.
  • In addition to salary, PepsiCo offers a comprehensive benefits package to support our employees and their families, subject to elections and eligibility: Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Health, and Dependent Care Reimbursement Accounts, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Insurance (Accident, Group Legal, Life), Defined Contribution Retirement Plan.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, PR, or a related field.
  • Experience: 6-8 years of PR experience in a fast-moving consumer goods category (agency or large corporate company preferred).
  • Media Relations Skills: Strong strategic planning abilities, deep understanding of the evolving media landscape, and a talent for pitching top-tier reporters.
  • Influencer Expertise: Experience in the front lines of managing influencer, talent, and partnership programming.
  • Social Media Know-How: An expert understanding of social media channels and analytics, and how to leverage that to reach our target audience.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to develop materials under tight timelines and navigate stakeholder discussions with confidence.
  • Creative Instinct: A passion for marketing and a knack for creative, insight-based communications programs.
  • Teamwork: Proven ability to interact with, manage, and influence cross-functional teams and agency partners.
  • Travel: Some travel required
