About the Role
As a Store Manager at Peloton, you’ll drive revenue growth, brand awareness, and community engagement in our dynamic, lifestyle-focused retail spaces. Whether in a high-traffic Micro location or a more intimate Inline Store setting, success requires strong sales acumen, strategic leadership, and a passion for grassroots Marketing. You’ll lead a lean, high-energy team, maximizing every interaction - converting walk-by traffic and creating demand, all while building meaningful relationships with new and existing Peloton Members.
Your Daily Impact at Peloton
Sales Leadership & Performance
- Own and drive store performance to achieve and exceed sales targets through hands-on leadership.
- Develop and execute agile, high-impact sales strategies tailored for dynamic, lifestyle-focused retail spaces. Maximize conversion rates and gross margin % by engaging customers with compelling, consultative sales techniques.
- Lead from the front—demonstrate best-in-class customer interactions and close sales on the floor.
- Manage the Profit and Loss statement with precision, using financial insights to drive profitability and strategic decision-making.
Local Demand Creation & Brand Building

- Build strong local awareness through grassroots marketing, pop-up activations, and experiential retail strategies.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with local wellness communities, influencers, and businesses.
- Partner with local Mall Marketing teams to explore relevant opportunities including marketing placement and partnering in like-minded events.
- Drive foot traffic through creative event planning, outreach campaigns, and on-site engagement tactics.
- Position the store as a hub for the local fitness community, increasing Peloton brand affinity beyond the retail space.
Team Development & Operations
- Recruit, train, and develop a results-driven team that thrives in high-energy, interactive selling environments.
- Foster a performance-driven, customer-first culture focused on engagement, enthusiasm, and expertise.
- Manage store operations, visual merchandising, and inventory flow with a sharp focus on efficiency and impact.
- Ensure seamless execution of company policies and procedures while maintaining an inviting, premium store atmosphere.
YOU BRING TO PELOTON
- Sales Obsessed & Results-Driven: 2+ years of retail management experience, ideally in high-traffic or experiential retail environments with experience running a retail location with $1M+ annual revenue. Familiarity with CRM systems and customer outreach tools.
- Energetic & Adaptable: Proven ability to drive sales, exceed targets, and create high-conversion customer experiences.
- Community-Minded & Grassroots-Savvy: Experience and demonstrated success in launching and executing local marketing initiatives, in community engagement, grassroots marketing, or event activation.
- Natural Leader & Coach: Strong leadership abilities with a passion for coaching, team development, and performance management. Excellent communication skills with a natural ability to build relationships and inspire action.
- Passionate About Health & Wellness: You genuinely connect with Peloton’s mission and can inspire others to do the same.
Physical Requirements
This is primarily an active position, involving long periods of standing and walking in the store, as well as bending and lifting items weighing 35 lbs or more. Additionally, this position involves the ability to demonstrate Peloton products and engage with customers to physically trial the in store experience.
