THE ROLE 

Peloton’s Production Management department operates year-round to support the initiatives of our Content team, overseeing both in-class specialty content and non-class production shoots. We are a dynamic, collaborative team dedicated to partnering with cross-functional stakeholders across the business. To elevate programming and music/partnerships offerings, while managing productions efficiently and resourcefully to achieve our business goals.

This role is pivotal in ensuring efficient production management and fostering a culture of innovation and operational excellence.

We are looking for a Manager to join our Content Production Management team. In this role, you will supervise the entire production life cycle, from development to delivery, ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget and align with Peloton’s creative vision and quality standards. While most productions will be in-house, occasional field work may be required. You will also play a key role in supporting risk management, driving efficiency, the implementation of process improvements, and ensuring adherence to global production management protocols.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production management, with diverse experience across various production types, particularly in live broadcast and studio environments.

In this role you will collaborate closely with the PT&O (Production, Technology & Operations) teams, producers, instructor strategy, and various other departments. You will report to the Senior Manager of Production Management, based in the US.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Support Senior Staff:Ensure business initiatives are achieved by managing productions from start to finish, providing regular status updates, and maintaining accurate trackers.Support the development and standardization of production management protocols and documentation, to challenge the status quo, drive efficiency and continuous improvement.Production Management:

    • Manage full production life cycle of various productions, including Content Programming, Partnerships/Music, Marketing, Apparel, Ecommerce, and Promotional Assets.
    • Engage with cross-functional departments to:
      • Understand their needs for project success
      • Ensure adherence to global strategies and best practices throughout productions
      • Provide regular updates on production status, budgets and timelines.
      • Collaborate on production execution and final deliverables.
    • Guarantee the smooth coordination of related studio and operational activities for production.
    • Develop and monitor production budgets, track expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
    • Manage technical, operational and logistical workflows to meet deadlines and stay within budget while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.
    • Manage vendor relationships and onboarding processes with finance and legal, and ensure timely invoicing and expense submissions.
    • Ensure adherence to industry regulations and safety standards.
    • Arrange necessary locations, permits, transportation accommodations for cast and crew.
  • Manage Production Coordinator/s: 
    • Lead and mentor production coordinator/s, delegating tasks and focusing on their career development.
    • Promote a growth mindset within the team, fostering an innovative atmosphere that values creativity and problem-solving.
    • Conduct regular one-on-ones for support and guidance.

Collaboration:

    • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with key departments, fostering an environment of open communication and feedback.
    • Collaborate closely with the UK Production Management team. Ensuring daily operation, risk management and documentation alignment for global projects.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Skilled production manager and people leader of 4+ years with experience in a live broadcast, studio environment or producing large scale productions.
  • Proven ability in managing multiple productions simultaneously throughout the production lifecycle, consistently meeting deadlines.
  • Well-versed cross-functional collaborator, with the ability to provide quick solutions.
  • 3-5 days in the office per week, potential weekends when production requires.
  • Highly organized, with a particular focus in time management, attention to detail, and multitasking.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient with Google Applications, Microsoft Office Suite, and production/project management software.
