ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Manager, Financial Reporting and Consolidations to join our Accounting and Finance team at Peloton! This person will be part of the Financial Reporting and Governance team, and more specifically responsible for our consolidations and internal management reporting processes, including monthly close management, consolidation of subsidiary level general ledgers, monthly variance analysis, and governance over the organizations compliance with various financial statement close processes. This position will report to the Senior Manager, Financial Reporting and Consolidations, will work on multiple projects at once, and be responsible for creating and maintaining effective communication with multiple business partners.
YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON
- Own monthly consolidation of domestic and international subsidiary general ledgers in accordance with U.S. GAAP and ensure accurate and timely reporting. This includes monitoring status during the close, review of Precor financial information, locking the NetSuite ledger and the preparation of consolidated trial balance
- Manage all aspects of global intercompany accounting, including governance framework, billings and allocations, settlements, eliminations, account reconciliations and coordination of transfer pricing with the Tax team
- Support the year-end financial statement audit, as well as any statutory audits throughout the year
- Prepare monthly variance analysis with insightful comments for senior management review
- Develop and maintain close governance policies, SOPs and transaction flows and communicate these to Accounting and FP&A teams
- Responsible for the preparation of monthly close KPIs and compliance with close governance policies
- Coordinate monthly close calendars with key leaders in the Accounting and FP&A teams, including scheduling of monthly close meetings
- Responsible for monitoring and evaluating Peloton’s foreign exchange exposure and partner with the Treasury team to implement vital accounting procedures and controls
- Responsible for accumulating errors (both corrected out of period and uncorrected) during the quarter and performing quarterly SAB99/108 analysis
- Perform continuous assessment of the consolidation close process and implement controls to improve consistency and accuracy of the reported results
- Drive process efficiencies and reduction of close timeline by assessing and streamlining close-related activities
- Assist special projects, such EPM implementation, ERP enhancements, internal controls, and ad-hoc analyses as requested

- 5+ years of accounting experience, with a mix of private and public accounting experience, more specifically strong experience of global consolidation, intercompany transactions/eliminations, foreign currency translation and remeasurements, multi-currency consolidations
- Active CPA license required
- Education or comparable professional experience in Accounting or related field
- Outstanding problem-solving skills and ability to balance multiple priorities and timelines
- Prior experience with NetSuite and SAP ERPs
- The ability to take initiative to identify, prioritize and implement all elements required for the team to fulfill responsibilities in accordance with core strategic goals
- Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to effectively address any issue in collaboration with others as appropriate, and proactively identify and prevent potential problems
- Proven ability to leverage current technology to drive process efficiencies
- Must be highly organized, detail-oriented, self-starter with the ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Exceptional written and oral communication, teamwork orientation and diplomacy
- Performs well under pressure and effectively balance multiple, concurrent demands and appropriately prioritize responsibilities
- Ability to work as a team player in a fast paced and dynamic environment
- Ability to disaggregate, analyze and reconcile consolidated financial data in an accurate and timely manner
- Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite; Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong understanding of internal control concepts, including documentation requirements
- Possess an ownership mentality
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position based at our New York City headquarters. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including, without limitation, experience and business objectives and if the location for the job changes.
