The Size & Fit Manager reports to the Size & Fit Director. The Size and Fit Manager is a skilled and passionate team leader. The position actively supports the team in navigating competing priorities while aligning with identified business initiatives. The role requires a high level of engagement to ensure team needs are being met and cross functional partners are aligned. This person will partner with the Size & Fit Director to facilitate and implement strategic sizing and fit projects. A proactive and positive working style is critical to take ownership in this space and work to build new and improved processes in collaboration with various cross functional partners. Creating and maintaining the balance of fulfilling work and a thriving team are key to this role.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage and mentor a team of new and established pattern engineers and a fit coordinator.
  • Lead the creation and evolution of fit consistency tools and the communication to users.
  • Develop and implement best practices, standards, and documentation.
  • Project management lead for various size and fit endeavors. Identify scope of work, timeline, deliverables, task assignment, tracking, and accountability.
  • Partner closely with Product Development, Product Commercialization, Product Design, Product Line Management, Product Quality, and Customer Insights.
  • Active oversite of fit room protocol, roles & responsibilities, fit model requirements, and budget.
  • Support the ongoing evolution of the block pattern library, including identifying new and revised block patterns, and seasonal validation.
  • Manage the product grading body of work for multiple grade standards.
  • Effectively prioritize seasonal and non-seasonal workload across the team.
  • Point person for PLM documentation, data, and implementation for size and fit body of work.
  • Partner with E-Comm team, customer insights, and marketing to effectively communicate the consistency of size and fit information provided to consumers.
  • Team lead for the go to market calendar working group.
  • Collaborate with the 3D Digital Product Creation Team to apply relevant digital fit technology.
  • Facilitate and support individual development plans within the team.
  • Confidently work across a variety of product categories, from Snow to Swim, Sportswear to Children’s products.

Experience You Bring

  • 8+ years experience in pattern making, grading, fit, and inclusive sizing.
  • 2+ years of management experience leading teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent understanding of the apparel commercialization process from concept through production.
  • Understanding of apparel factory manufacturing as it relates to pattern and grade work. 
  • Proven experience working with groups in respectful and equitable ways.
  • Excellent leadership and teaching skills.
  • Basic skill set in 3D virtual fitting process and capabilities.
  • College degree in Patternmaking, Technical Design, or equivalent in industry experience.
