Your Career
Palo Alto Networks has an exciting opportunity to be a key part of its Corporate Responsibility team, advancing its environmental, social and governance efforts for a more safe and secure digital future. As Senior Manager, Environmental Sustainability, you will be responsible for managing specific programs and initiatives within the company's environmental sustainability efforts, working to ensure progress towards commitments and goals. You will collaborate closely with Finance, Places, Product, Sourcing, Legal, and subject matter expert teams across the business to advance environmental sustainability practices. Additionally, you will play a critical role in supporting regulation-readiness for environmental-related topics.
This is an in office role in our HQ (Santa Clara, CA) 3 days/week
Your Impact
As a Senior Manager, Environmental Sustainability, your contributions will be essential in driving key environmental programs and supporting Palo Alto Networks overall sustainability strategy. Your key areas of impact will include:
- Contribute to the implementation of the environmental sustainability strategy that aligns with corporate goals and sustainability commitments.
- Lead the implementation of key initiatives (often in partnership with internal business stakeholders) to advance sustainability practices and progress, including reducing GHG emissions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability practices into business operations, supply chain management, and product lifecycle management.
- Develop, manage and/or strengthen practices and reporting to support regulation-readiness, including California Climate Disclosures, EU Corporate Sustainability Report Directive and EU Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive.
- Manage and execute key aspects of environmental sustainability reporting to external stakeholders including CDP, EcoVadis, and customer inquiries.
- Build environmental sustainability capabilities with key stakeholders, including being able to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging environmental trends, technologies, and regulations to drive continuous improvement in our sustainability initiatives.
Your Experience
- 8-12+ years of related experience.
- Strong expertise in greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting, assessing climate-related risks and opportunities, and familiarity with frameworks underlying European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS).
- Proven track record in developing and managing project plans, effectively engaging necessary stakeholders, managing evolving timelines, and ensuring accuracy and completeness of reporting.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with stakeholders of multiple levels; collaborative and clear communicator.
- Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to present metrics, explain findings, and articulate issues and challenges together with proposed solutions.
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment and nimbly adapts to meet various stakeholder needs.
- Ability to multi-task and quickly prioritize projects and work well under pressure and tight deadlines.

Compensation Disclosure
The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $153000 - $248500/YR. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. A description of our employee benefits may be found here.
