Senior Operator Specialist

This position is for Pactiv Evergreen Inc.

Senior Operator Specialist will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting departmental processes - either thermoforming or extrusion equipment.

JOB DUTIES:

• Primary emphasis is on the production of quality, product equal to or better than standard cost.
• Exhibit operational leadership to ensure that the Extruder is operated in a safe, efficient manner and that any quality or equipment related problems are addressed.
• Perform effective changeovers as defined by duration (line downtime) and ramp (how quickly the new product attains standard rates of production).
• Perform major changeovers to include all things related to quickly converting a line from one product to another utilizing tool changes, mold and trim tools and packaging automation system.
• Troubleshoot maintenance / machinery issues and implement corrective actions.
• Partner with Shift Maintenance on complex mechanical and electrical issues and work together to implement a technical solution.
• Perform basic administrative functions, including job coordination and production reporting.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to read and follow written procedures related to tooling / equipment changeover(s), checklists, tooling maintenance, tooling repair, tooling storage and retrieval and tool shop housekeeping.
• Must be self-directed and reliable to initiate and / or complete tooling work orders (TWO) or maintenance work orders (MWO) when opportunities or conditions exist.
• Must be able to successfully complete Senior Operator Specialist certification.
• Must be able to interact and effectively communicate with other associates in a team oriented environment.
• Must be able to troubleshoot process problems quickly in a fast paced environment.
• Minimum of 2 years previous manufactuirng experience, preferably working in Thermoforming or Extrusion
