Outbrain is seeking a skilled Technical Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for translating complex technical information into clear, concise, and engaging content. This role involves creating a variety of materials including marketing collateral, user manuals, online FAQs, and blog posts for Outbrain’s Advertising Platform. The Technical Writer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and consistency in all written materials.

A day in the life:
- Produce comprehensive user manuals, help content, and online FAQs for various products and services.
- Simplify complex technical concepts into user-friendly language, ensuring ease of understanding for end-users.
- Document standard operating procedures and processes for internal and external stakeholders.
- Work closely with subject matter experts to gather information and ensure accuracy in procedural documentation.
- Develop and enhance website copy and content to effectively communicate brand messaging and product information.
- Proactively identify areas for web content improvement and optimization based on supporting strategy, industry trends and user feedback.
- Collaborate with the Content Marketing team on the development of online content such as blogs, white papers, and social media posts.
- Conduct research on industry trends and best practices to produce insightful and informative content.
- Write compelling case studies, brochures, website copy, and product guides.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure messaging aligns with brand guidelines and resonates with the target audience.
- Implements and maintains a robust content management system to organize, update, and distribute support documentation, ensuring accessibility and accuracy for both internal stakeholders and customers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define the vision, goals, and objectives of the scaled support center.
What you'll bring:
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, or a related field.
- 3+ years writing experience / copywriting experience in tech
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in Wordpress or other content management systems.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
