About the role
You will manage our financial reporting (reporting can include SEC, Statutory and Legal entity), ensuring adherence to applicable reporting and accounting guidance.
You will report to the Associate Director, SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting.

Pay Transparency:
The base pay for this role is: $131,200 - $172,200 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar’s unlimited vacation program and annual performance bonuses.
Responsibilities
- Quarterly and Year-end Close
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting processes, including analytics and related financial statement disclosures.
- Lead an environment with internal controls.
- Lead audit coordination efforts.
- Coach the team and be accountable to develop each individual team member.
- Oversee responsibility for leading the team to execution of the team’s goals.
- Other
- Manage the development and/or strengthen existing procedures, drive process improvement.
- Partner with the Accounting Close Team members to identify with the financial reporting team.
- In partnership with Technical Accounting, Regulatory, and Legal Teams, staying current on new reporting guidance and assessing the possible effects of any such changes.
- Partner with Regulatory Relations and other teams across the Organization to respond to regulator inquiries.
- Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 6+ years of related experience on an accounting or reporting team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or 4 years of relevant experience.
- Certified Public Accountant licensure (CPA).
- 2+ years of experience with US-based insurance companies.
- 2+ years of practical experience in financial reporting.
