Position Overview
Lument is seeking a Senior Associate, Internal & Corporate Communications to support internal communications initiatives, enhance employee engagement, support strategic initiatives, and promote a unified company culture. Reporting to the Senior Director, Content & Corporate Communications, this role will focus on executing internal communications strategies across multiple channels, coordinating on- and off-site internal events, and assisting with strategic company projects and business lines. The ideal candidate will be results-oriented, an excellent writer and editor, a strong project manager, and a skilled communicator with a passion for connecting employees, fostering engagement, and promoting the Lument company values of tenacity, innovation, and responsiveness. Familiarity with the commercial real estate and finance industries is a major plus.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and manage content for internal communications initiatives, including newsletters, leadership communications, HR notices, company and associate news memos, intranet updates, and employee profiles.
- Support the Chief Strategy Officer as a project manager on strategic initiatives, including Lument's Management Committee and Production Committee programs and project executions.
- Manage and monitor the effectiveness of internal communications via metrics trackers and tools such as Contact Monkey, making recommendations for optimization.
- Update digital office bulletin boards, the employee intranet, and employee/culture-focused pages on the Lument website with the latest employee news and engagement initiatives.
- Coordinate and facilitate interviews for employee and leadership profiles.
- Support employee engagement and organizational research initiatives by developing surveys, analyzing results, and presenting findings to management.
- Assist with the organization and coordination of on- and off-site internal meetings and events, including company-wide town halls, annual meetings, year-end award programs, executive retreats, and other events across the organization.
- Partner with administrative staff on major office events, overseeing contract negotiation, vendor management, and logistical coordination.
- Organize the execution of internal events and meetings supporting leadership, management, and production teams by conducting research into priorities, drafting agendas, scripting talking points, assisting with the creation of presentations, overseeing audio/visual requirements, and conducting live audience surveys/presenting survey results.
- Serve as a liaison for ORIX Corporation USA communications and support Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives and event coordination throughout Lument.
Contacts
This position has frequent contact with all levels of employees and management. In addition, this role may interact with outside business partners, vendors, consultants, and other office visitors.
Education, Skills & Experience
Required
- Hold a bachelor's degree with a concentration in communications, English, journalism, public relations, marketing, or a related field.
- Have a minimum of 5 years' experience in internal communications, marketing, or a related area, preferably in commercial real estate, finance, or professional services.
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling abilities.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
- Be an effective self-starter and problem solver who is resourceful, results-oriented, articulate, creative, and possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to develop, manage, and track project budgets, ensuring accurate forecasting, cost control, and alignment with financial targets and timelines.
- Position may require travel for conferences, interoffice trainings, and meetings.
Preferred
- Advanced knowledge of digital communication and project management tools (Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Contact Monkey, Survey Monkey, SmartSheet, and WordPress).
- Data analysis and presentation skills (Excel, charts, pivot tables, presentations, etc.).
- Experience with graphic design tools (Adobe Creative Suite) is an asset.
- Experience in the multifamily/commercial real estate lending or investment sales industry.
- Metric-driven, strategic thinker with the ability to act as an advocate for innovation.
Annual base salary gross: $90,000 - $110,000 (NY only). The base salary range represents the estimated low and high end of the Lument's salary for this position. Actual base salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and proficiency for the role. The base pay is one component of Lument's total compensation package for employees.
