Purpose and Job Summary:

The Investor Solutions Analyst is a key role to helping manage NXT Capital's existing third-party investment programs and to assist in NXT Capital's efforts to expand the platform. We are seeking an individual who is self-motivated and a strong team player to assist with day-to-day transactional duties as well as program management, including analyzing performance and communication with LPs and third-party service providers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Day-to-Day Transactions

  • Assist with reviewing underwriting materials to assess compliance with program eligibility guidelines and assist in allocating transactions across programs in accordance with policies and contractual obligations and maintaining in Salesforce; validate inputs and help evaluate capacity under program level investment guideline limitations
  • Manage the offering process of deals being sold to programs and work with direct lending deal teams to prepare memos, assignment agreements and participation certificates to facilitate new asset sales and deal modifications; ensure delivery of proper documentation in a timely manner
  • Assist in the tracking of program capital needs
  • Act as liaison across multiple groups within NXT Capital, including asset management, deal teams, finance, loan servicing and compliance

Program Management and Development

  • Maintain, with accuracy, all program specific tracking logs
  • Assist with monthly and quarterly reporting requirements for both internal and external constituents, including reporting packages, investor letters, internal program reviews, data tapes and compliance requests
  • Assist with investor inquiries and due diligence requests, including data gathering, new program modeling, on-going performance modeling and ad-hoc financial modeling
  • Assist in developing and maintaining marketing presentations for prospective and current investors
  • Process and track program level expenses

Other

  • Develop and maintain an understanding of NXT's loan platform and NXT's asset management programs, including investment guidelines and asset management program reporting requirements
  • Maintain various deal tracking templates and tools (e.g., Salesforce, allocation / hypo tools, cash forecast model, closing model) with internal resources and outside vendors
  • Become proficient with NXT's reporting tools and systems for data gathering, analysis and reporting
  • Recommend and assist in implementation of process changes, corrections and/or data improvements. Contribute to the firmwide (ORIX) asset management initiatives and team up to advance corporate wide data
  • Assist in managing relationships with, and providing data to, third party market data collectors and providers

This position has frequent contact with various levels of employees and management, and will interact with external contacts including clients and industry partners.

Education, Skills and Experience:

  • 3-5 years of relevant asset management, portfolio management, financial analysis, accounting or analytics related experience within a financial services or asset management company
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interface effectively with senior management, investors, service providers, prospects and peers
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and modeling skills with exposure to data & analytics software tools a plus; proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Proven analytical, problem solving, and logical reasoning skills needed to enhance business decision making and current processes using data and technology
  • Motivated, self-starter with confidence to handle high priority initiatives and facilitate day to day needs of diverse reporting user community
  • Excellent organization skills, with ability to handle a wide variety of responsibilities and meet tight deadlines
  • Professional attitude, strong work ethic and a self-starter

Required:

Undergraduate degree required

Annual base salary gross: $85,000 - $105,000 (IL only). The base salary range represents the estimated low and high end of the NXT's salary for this position. Actual base salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and proficiency for the role. The base pay is one component of NXT's total compensation package for employees.
