Positions in this function is responsible for operating sonographic equipment and for performing and communicating results of diagnostic examinations using sonography. Responsible for daily operations within the Imaging - Ultrasound Department, including patient schedules, reporting equipment failures, and quality assessment.

\n

\n

Primary Responsibilities:

\n
    \nFollowing physician's orders, performs clinical assessment and diagnostic sonography examinations. (OB, ABD, Small parts, and Vascular)\nUses cognitive sonographic skills to identify record and adapt procedures as appropriate to anatomical, pathological, diagnostic information and images\nGreets, correctly identifies patient, prepares patient for examination and explains specific procedures to be performed in appropriate confidential area\nAnalyses sonograms, synthesizes sonographic information and medical history and communicates findings to the appropriate physician\nAccurately maintains patient imaging records, utilizing the Radiology Information System (R.I.S.), and PACS/Synapse application in accordance with HIPAA and company guidelines, policies and procedures\nObtains pertinent medical history from the patient, prepares preliminary reports for radiologist and contacts referring physician when required according to established procedures\nMaintains ultrasound equipment and work area, and ensures adequate supplies are available, contacts service as required\nMonitors PACs/Synapse and RIS databases for integrity of patient information and proper image transfer\nMay also be assigned to other modalities provided incumbent is certified or licensed in those modalities\nWill comply with annual mandatory Fit Testing as a job requirement\n\n

    Required Qualifications:

    \n
      \nGraduate of a formally accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program\nActive certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)\nCurrent CPR certification\n1+ years of Ultrasound experience\n\n

      Preferred Qualifications:

      \n
        \n3+ years of Ultrasound experience\nExperience in breast ultrasound\nKnowledge of sonographic equipment\nKnowledge of sonographic procedures and diagnosis\nBasic computer skills, RIS and PACS\n\n

        Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you’ll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The hourly pay for this role will range from $28.27 to $50.48 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
