This position serves the patients, providers and other support staff by performing tests using the appropriate radiology equipment to make clinical diagnostic X-rays and performing routine diagnostic procedures as directed by providers.

\n

Primary Responsibilities:

\n

\nPosition patients and adjust equipment for taking X-rays following established procedures\nInstruct patients regarding procedures\nFollow prescribed safety standards in operating all required radiologic equipment\nSelect length and intensity for radiation exposure by adjusting equipment on individual patient basis\nExamine radiologic images for properties such as density, contrast, definition, magnification and distortion\nEnsure equipment is in working order. Report equipment malfunctions to supervisor\nProcess routine paperwork\nMaintain patient confidentiality\nParticipate in professional development activities and maintain professional affiliations\nMaintain strictest confidentiality\nPerform other duties as assigned\n\n

Required Qualifications:

\n

\nSatisfactory completion of formal radiologic technology training in an AMA approved (two-year) school and meets the requirements for registry by the ARRT\nCurrent certification with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)\nCurrent Oregon license in diagnostic radiography or the ability to obtain licensure within 30 days of employment\nHealthcare provider level CPR/BLS certification or the ability to obtain certification within 30 days of employment\n\n

Preferred Qualification:

\nExperience with an electronic medical record system\n\n

The hourly range for this role is $23.70 to $46.35 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
