The position in this function is under the supervision of the Pharmacy Liaison Supervisor, the Pharmacy Technician Liaison will work independently and establish strong, credible relationships with patient, clinicians, and internal Genoa staff to help provide high level, specialized prescriptive care to patients in a fast-paced hospital and/or specialty clinic settings.

Hours for this role are: Monday- Friday: 8:00am-5:00pm CST with lunch from 12:00pm to 1:00pm CST

\n

This position is located at: Lakeside Behavior Health System, 2929 Brunswick Rd, Memphis TN, 38133.

\n

Primary Responsibilities:

\n
    \nWorks in a hospital setting and builds solid relationships with patients, hospital staff, pharmacy team as well as other clients and stakeholders aligned with the business group \nEducates potential patients about services provided at time of discharge and articulates how patients may utilize pharmacy services to obtain full benefits of the high-quality prescriptive care \nCoordinates the collection of prescriptions, patient orders and all necessary paperwork for the pharmacy team in order to handle dispensing of patient medications \nSchedules and coordinates pharmacist consultation review of patient’s prescribed medications to drive medication adherence and education \nHandles the coordination of patient medication delivery at time of discharge and ensures education has been provided to all necessary caregivers \nIdentifies and resolves insurance billing adjudication; including facilitating prior authorizations (PAs), and assisting in locating financial assistance for patients as needed \nConducts weekly follow up calls with hospital patients following discharge to ensure aftercare plans have been met \nIdentifies trends, barriers and potential process improvement opportunities and subsequently recommends customized and innovative solutions; as well as proposing value-driven change when necessary \nAll areas of the job description are subject to state regulations and allowances {Liaisons will be provided and trained on all state specific regulations and allowances} \n\n

      Required Qualifications:

      \n
        \nActive and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Tennessee\nNational Pharmacy Technician Certification \n2+ years of Pharmacy Technician experience\nAccess to reliable transportation \n\n

        Preferred Qualifications:

        \n
          \n2+ years of hospital experience of experience in a behavioral or mental health setting\nHighly proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word\nProven ability to work with a close-knit team and possess solid administrative and organizational skills \nProven ability to learn other software systems \nDemonstrated ability to be detail oriented, professional, results oriented with a positive outlook and patient focus\nSolid verbal and written communication skills \n\n

          Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $20.00 to $35.72 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
