Position Highlights:

\n
    \nDaytime and Nocturnist, as needed

    \nBe a part of a collaborative and comprehensive health care team

    \n100% of patients will have a WellMed employed, contracted, or affiliated PCP

    \nOur model is designed to provide the most efficient, comprehensive, and proven care techniques to treat the whole patient – physically, mentally, and socially

    \n“Quality vs. Quantity Model” – Typically census per hospitalist is 10 to 13 patients per day

    \nPatient panel is limited to geriatrics with Medicare Advantage coverage

      Required Qualifications:

      \n
        \nCertification through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), or the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)

        \nCurrent Licensure through the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners OR Licensed Physician Assistant by the Texas State Medical Board

        \nAdditional Acute Care Certification

        \nValid DEA license or the ability to obtain one prior to employment

        \n1+ year of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

        \nComfortable managing a primarily Medicare-aged patient population

        \n\n

        \n

        Preferred Qualifications:

        \n
          \nBilingual (English/Spanish) fluency

          \nA working understanding and support of a managed care environment

          \n\n
