    \nIdentify anatomical orientation on all required images and assures proper file identification on all images\nDemonstrate competency for operating all MRI equipment and associated equipment and software\nEnsure the safety of all those entering the MR room through education and proper screening protocols\nMaintain communication with radiologists and other physicians, patients and their families, and other persons\nPerform quality control and reporting tasks, setting up and conducting MRI procedures, maintain day to-day schedules, assisting radiologist, and contributing to the efficient operation of the department assuring the quality and continuity of patient care\nAcquire patients' chart data/requisition and reviews both to determine correct room set-up and learn of any specific medical problems, contraindications to the study and verify that the study being ordered correlates to the diagnostic needs\nEducate patients regarding procedure, equipment and exam to ensure understanding and safety\nProvide coverage as needed (i.e. in the event of call outs or extended patient schedules)\nProvide instruction/mentoring to new hires\nScan according to guidelines Maintain quality standards as it relates to HIPPA regulations\nAssist in the completion of the accreditation process for American College of Radiology (ACR) every three years\nMaintain CPR certification\nDemonstrate a positive patient experience; share information with patients, providing knowledge about the procedure; ensuring they are aware of follow-up steps and requirements\nDemonstrate a positive experience from the referring providers; providing excellent quality Page 2 of 2 MRI Technologist I Job Description\nConsistently submit images of diagnostic quality without recommendation of additional image acquisition; performs quality assurance on images and equipment; demonstrates competency in utilizing systems\nMake decisions authoritatively and wisely after adequately contemplating various available courses of action\nContribute to efficient out-patient Operations, maximizing the productivity of assigned modality\nObserve patient for vital signs during examination\nUtilize sterile techniques preventing contamination\nIdentify anatomical orientation on all required images and assures proper file identification on all images\nReview each examination for technical accuracy, presents completed examinations to radiologist, and communicates pertinent data to persons for the care of patients following the procedure\nDemonstrate teamwork; interacts in a positive manner with employees and contributes to a collaborative work environment\nMeet or exceed deadlines, follows through, demonstrating accountability, flexibility and adaptability\nEnhance professional growth and maintain certifications, registration and active CME’s through education programs, conferences, and workshops\n\n

    Required Qualifications:

    \n
      \nHigh school diploma or equivalent\nARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist) \nMRI certification\n\n

      \n

      Preferred Qualifications:

      \n
        \nAssociate degree or Baccalaureate degree in radiography, radiation therapy, or nuclear medicine\n1+ years of MRI Technologist experience\nProven ability to follow oral and written instructions\nProven ability to communicate with patients, visitors, and employees within the organization\nProven ability to adequately use, or learn to use, the department's computerized system and its associated devices\n\n

        Physical Demands:

        \n
          \nRequires standing and walking for extended periods of time\nMust be able to lift and carry items weighting up to 50 pounds\nRequires eyesight correctable to 20/20 to operate equipment and review developed films\n\n

          \n

          The hourly range for this role is $28.61 to $56.06 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
