Primary Responsibilities:

\n
    \nPerform routine and specialized nuclear medicine procedures and examinations for radiological diagnosis\nAdminister radio-pharmaceuticals and medications for patient imaging and therapeutic procedures\nOperate computed tomography (CT) scanners that are used in conjunction with nuclear medicine procedures (PET technologists only)\nProvide images, data analysis and patient information for diagnostic interpretation or therapeutic procedures\nProcess data and enhancing digital images using advanced computer technology\nEvaluate images to determine the technical quality and calibration of instrumentation\nEvaluate new protocols\nAssists in the completion of the accreditation process for American College of Radiology (ACR) every 3 years\nPerform quality control and reporting tasks, setting up and conducting procedures, maintain day-to-day schedules, assisting radiologist, and contributing to the efficient operation of the department assuring the quality and continuity of patient care\nAcquire patients' chart data/requisition and reviews both to determine correct room set-up and learn of any specific medical problems, contraindications to the study and verify that the study being ordered correlates to the diagnostic needs\nEducate patients regarding procedure, equipment and exam to ensure understanding and safety\nReview each examination for technical accuracy, presents completed examinations to radiologist, and communicates pertinent data to persons responsible for the care of patients following the procedure\n\n

    Required Qualifications:

      \nHigh School diploma or equivalent \nCNMT (Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist) certification\nRegistered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (PET technologists only)\nCT Certification within 180 days of hire\n1+ years of experience\n\n

      Preferred Qualifications:

      \n
        \nAssociate degree of Baccalaureate degree in radiography, radiology, radiation therapy, or nuclear medicine \n\n

        New York Residents Only: The hourly range for New York residents is $28.03 to $54.95 per hour.
