Primary Responsibilities:

\n

\nIdentify anatomical orientation on all required images and assures proper file identification on all images\nDemonstrate competency performing all diagnostic ultrasound procedures and the operation of all related equipment\nGreet patients, obtain history, and enters information in computer system\nScan according to guidelines \nMaintain logs; process paperwork for biopsies\nUtilize sterile techniques preventing contamination\nMaintain quality standards as it relates to HIPPA regulations\nResponsible for all clinical aspects of ultrasonography suite; maintains cleanliness of examination rooms. Stock necessary medical and radiologic supplies\nAssists in the completion of the accreditation process for American College of Radiology (ACR) every three years\nMaintain CPR certification\nObserve patient vital signs during examination\nProvide coverage as needed (i.e. in the event of call outs or extended patient schedules)\nProvide instruction/mentoring to new hires\nProvide a positive patient experience; share information with patients, providing knowledge about the procedure; ensuring they are aware of follow-up steps and requirements\nMaintain communication with radiologists and other physicians, patients and their families, and other persons\nConsistently submit images of diagnostic quality without recommendation of additional image acquisition; performs quality assurance on images and equipment; demonstrates competency in utilizing systems Contribute to efficient out-patient Operations, maximizing the productivity of assigned modality \nReview each examination for technical accuracy, presents completed examinations to radiologist, and communicates pertinent data to persons responsible for the care of patients following the procedure\nDemonstrate teamwork; interacts in a positive manner with employees and contributes to a collaborative work environment\nMeet or exceed deadlines, follows through, demonstrating accountability, flexibility and adaptability\nEnhance professional growth and maintain certifications, registration and active CME’s through education programs, conferences, and workshops\nAcquire patients' chart data/requisition and reviews both to determine correct room set-up and learn of any specific medical problems, contraindications to the study and verify that the study being ordered correlates to the diagnostic needs\nEducate patients regarding procedure, equipment and exam to ensure understanding and safety\nContribute to efficient out-patient Operations, maximizing the productivity of assigned modality\nReview each examination for technical accuracy, presents completed examinations to radiologist, and communicates pertinent data to persons responsible for the care of patients following the procedure\nDemonstrate teamwork; interacts in a positive manner with employees and contributes to a collaborative work environment\nMeet or exceed deadlines, follows through, demonstrating accountability, flexibility and adaptability \nEnhance professional growth and maintain certifications, registration and active CME’s through education programs, conferences, and workshops\nAcquire patients' chart data/requisition and reviews both to determine correct room set-up and learn of any specific medical problems, contraindications to the study and verify that the study being ordered correlates to the diagnostic needs\nEducate patients regarding procedure, equipment and exam to ensure understanding and safety\n\n

Required Qualifications:

\n

\nHigh school diploma or equivalent
\nCompletion of an accredited course in ultrasonography
\nARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) certification\n\n

Preferred Qualifications:

\n

\nAssociate degree or Baccalaureate degree in radiography or sonography\nMFM, Maternal Fetal Medicine Technologist\n2+ years of experience in ultrasonography\nProven ability to follow oral and written instructions\nProven ability to communicate with patients, visitors, and employees within the organization\nProven ability to adequately use, or learn to use, the department's computerized system and its associated devices \n\n

Physical Demands:

\n

\nStanding and walking for extended periods of time\nAbility to lift and carry items weighting up to 50 pounds\nAbility to assist patients weighing 300 pounds or more and place them in appropriate positions for the operation of equipment\nEyesight correctable to 20/20 to operate equipment and review images\n\n

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $28.27 to $50.48 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable
