Location: 10421 E. CR. 100 N. Indianapolis, IN 46234.

This office is located on the border of Avon and Indianapolis, IN
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00am-5pm / No evenings, weekends, or holidays!

Primary Responsibilities:

\n
    \nPrepares patient and treatment rooms; sterilizes medical equipment

    \nRooms patients, obtains health history, and measures and documents vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, height, weight)

    \nDocuments patient care and medical history using NextGen electronic medical record (EMR) software

    \nAssists physicians with minor, in-office procedures

    \nSchedules appointments, completes prior authorizations, processes medication refills, handles referrals, answers calls and completes necessary paperwork

    \nPerforms CLIA waived testing

    \nAdministers injections or treatments and performs routine laboratory tests

    \nMaintains all Practice Health and Safety Standards

    \nComplies with Medical Assistant Certification Procedure by becoming certified (CMA, CCMA, NCMA, or RMA) within 9 months of employment

    Required Qualifications:

    \n
      \nHigh School diploma or GED\nGraduated from an accredited MA program \nMedical Assistant Certification (CMA, CCMA, NCMA, or RMA) or must be willing to attain that certification within 9 months of employment\n\n

      \n

      Preferred Qualifications:

      \n
        \nActive Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, CCMA, NCMA, or RMA)\nCPR certification

        \nExperience working as a Medical Assistant in a family practice setting

        \nExperience with NextGen or other electronic medical records (EMR) software

        \nExperience performing medical back-office tasks including injections/immunizations, phlebotomy, urinalysis, and administering medications

        \nExperience performing medical front-office tasks including scheduling appointments, prior authorizations, medication refills, and referrals

        Unless certification, licensure or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience, which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description, may be substituted for the above requirements.
