The Mammography Technologist I will be responsible for performing quality patient care and mammographic images for successful diagnostic of patients for the radiologist. This also includes creating a tranquil environment, so patients will be able to adhere to examination instructions.

Primary Responsibilities:

\n
    \nIdentify anatomical orientation on all required images and assures proper file identification on all images\nDemonstrate competency performing all mammographic procedures and the operation of all related equipment\nGreet patients, obtain history, and enters information in computer system\nObtain mammographic images according to guidelines \nMaintain logs; process paperwork for biopsies\nUtilize sterile techniques preventing contamination\nMaintain quality standards as it relates to HIPPA regulations\nAll clinical aspects of mammography suite; maintains cleanliness of examination rooms. Stock necessary medical and radiologic supplies. \nAssists in the completion of the accreditation process for American College of Radiology (ACR) every three years Maintain CPR certification\nObserve patient vital signs during examination\nProvide coverage as needed (i.e. in the event of call outs or extended patient schedules).\nProvide instruction/mentoring to new hires.\nProvide a positive patient experience; share information with patients, providing knowledge about the procedure; ensuring they are aware of follow-up steps and requirements\nMaintain communication with radiologists and other physicians, patients and their families, and other persons\nConsistently submit images of diagnostic quality without recommendation of additional image acquisition; performs quality assurance on images and equipment; demonstrates competency in utilizing systems\nPerform daily QA evaluations, i.e. processor QC and phantom QC\nMonthly, quarterly, and yearly QC testing documentation\nPerform all mammographic images daily in guidelines to ACR accreditation\nUtilize sterile techniques preventing contamination\nProvide excellent patient care by addressing concerns before and after examination\nExamine radiologic film for properties such as density and contrast, definition, magnification, and distortion Troubleshoot processor, mammographic machine, and order supplies\nDemonstrate a positive patient experience; share information with patients, providing knowledge about the procedure; ensuring they are aware of follow-up steps and requirements\nEnsure a positive experience from the referring providers; providing excellent quality\nMake decisions authoritatively and wisely after adequately contemplating various available courses of action\nContribute to efficient out-patient Operations, maximizing the productivity of assigned modality\nReview each examination for technical accuracy, presents completed examinations to radiologist, and communicates pertinent data to persons responsible for the care of patients following the procedure\nDemonstrate teamwork; interacts in a positive manner with employees and contributes to a collaborative work environment\nMeet or exceed deadlines, follows through, demonstrating accountability, flexibility and adaptability\nEnhance professional growth and maintain certifications, registration and active CME’s through education programs, conferences, and workshops\n\n

    Required Qualifications:

    \n
      \nHigh school diploma or equivalent \nARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist) (M) certified\nDiagnostic Mammography certified\nDemonstrated ability to adequately use, or learn to use, the department's computerized system and its associated devices\n\n

      Preferred Qualifications:

      \n
        \nAssociate degree or Baccalaureate degree in radiography, radiation therapy, or nuclear medicine\n1+ years of experience as a general radiologic technologist \nDemonstrated ability to follow oral and written instructions\nDemonstrated ability to communicate with patients, visitors, and employees within the organization\n\n

        Physical Demands:

          \nStanding and walking for extended periods of time\nAble to lift and carry items weighting up to 50 pounds\nEyesight correctable to 20/20 to operate equipment and review developed films\n\n

            Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you’ll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The hourly pay for this role will range from $28.27 to $50.48 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
