Sr. Financial Analyst

Kansas City, MO

Based in Kansas City or remote, the Senior Financial Analyst will directly support the Director, Security Services Analytics and work closely with leaders in our Services delivery organization. This position will act as a trusted advisor and business partner to our internal stakeholders, driving financial awareness and operational efficiency throughout the organization.

How you'll make an impact

  • Act as a dedicated finance business partner to our Services organization
  • Ad-hoc analytical projects to support profitability, efficiency, resource utilization and services growth
  • Variance analysis, research, and reporting
  • Conduct performance analysis, preparing reports, compare financial data, and informational data to support strategic decision making
  • Assist the business unit and finance team in other areas as needed
  • Conduct and support special projects through data analysis and research
  • Preparation and compilation of reporting decks for both internal and external stakeholders
  • Own, improve, and refine existing processes
  • Identify areas to create efficiencies and implement new processes

What we're looking for

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or other analytical field required; MBA or CPA preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar analytical role, preferably with a company in the technology, services or cybersecurity field
  • Self-Management: Can take on significant levels of responsibility with minimal management. Able to think outside the box and chart a path by identifying needs within the business and designing solutions for them
  • Systems Proficiency: Considerable experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Proficient with Domo or similar business intelligence and data visualization systems. Ability adapt to new systems as needed.
  • Acts with Integrity: Demonstrates the qualities of being ethical, forthright, and trustworthy
  • Communication: Able to articulate ideas to interface with senior leaders and have strength in building relationships across company departments
  • Big Data Management: Not intimidated by large amounts of data that will require systematic intake, meaningful analysis, and actionable output
  • General understanding of accounting and revenue recognition principles
