This position will be fully remote and can be hired anywhere in the continental U.S.

We are seeking an accomplished cyber security professional with a background in SIEM, Endpoint protection, SOAR, vulnerability tracking and remediation, and cloud security who has demonstrated success in secure development or network and asset protection. The Platform Architect combines knowledge of the tools of IT security with the ability to scale and use those tools to create a working environment for Optiv Security, Inc threat hunters, security analysts, and security engineers. The Platform Architect must be able to keep up with the ever-changing digital and cyber security worlds while working with security personnel to employ tools to solve customer issues.

How you'll make an impact

  • Provide expert level support and technical mentoring to implementation team.
  • Maintain deep, comprehensive knowledge of IT Security Operations and DevOps practices.
  • Recognize and develop opportunities to leverage ServiceNow, Kubernetes, and AWS Cloud Services appropriately.
  • As a senior technical member of the team, deliver hands-on configuration, development and integration services and serve in a delivery assurance capacity for all project deliverables.
  • Plan and coordinate all phases of testing and test acceptance; design and oversee development of testing related work products; lead test remediation cycles.
  • Support practice build efforts to include development of practice intellectual property (IP).
  • Develop and present business case material for senior prospect and customer stakeholders.
  • Create and deliver tailored presentations and product demonstrations.
  • Scoping and delivering Proof of Concept / Proof of Value engagements.
  • Responding to Request for Information/Proposal documents.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for how Optiv's Platform operates.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's or higher degree or its equivalent in certifications or work experience - with a preference in STEM, Computer Science, Cyber Security, etc.
  • More than 10 years of experience in the IT industry.
  • Experience with Cloud (AWS, Azure), IaC (Terraform, Cloud formation, etc.), and Python are mandatory.
  • Experience with ServiceNow, ETL pipelines, and automation tools (SaltStack, Ansible, Chef, etc.) are mandatory.
  • Experience with secure DevOps practices (Git, CI/CD, Cloud Security, etc.) are mandatory.
  • Experience in one or more tools & technologies such as Elasticsearch, StreamSets, OpenFaas, Kubernetes, and Kafka is preferred.
  • Ability to work under pressure and work on multiple projects at the same time.
  • A background in Incident Response, Vulnerability Management, Endpoint Security, or Network Security is preferred.
