Currently, we have anexciting new opportunity for a Site Reliability Engineer. As our SRE, you will be pivotal in managing the overall reliability of service & maintaining our infrastructure & associated services in cloud-based environments.

This role is within a fast-moving team and would suit someone with strong mentorship and leadership abilities as our SRE will take the lead to proactively identify opportunities to improve our overall technology landscape and practices.

What you'll be doing

  • Together with the SRE team improve our automation practices while delivering code and participating in code reviews
  • Identify complex areas of code that require refactoring and technical debt and ensure these are addressed as appropriate
  • Design and delivery of cloud-based systems following best practice guidelines
  • Continuous improvements to the observability of systems including, logging, monitoring and alerting
  • Incident Management, Problem Resolution, Blameless Postmortems and Root Cause Analysis
  • Management of Network Architecture
  • Work with stakeholders to gather business requirements for the implementation of these platforms
  • Management, configuration, and automation of security platforms
  • Work with OFX engineers and architects and third-party consultants to drive design of systems
  • Participate in design reviews and proof of concepts
  • Provide 3rd level support for Technology staff and to the Support team
  • Have knowledge of routing, switching and security
  • Display leadership qualities and a passion for working collaboratively

What you bring

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or other similar technical qualification

Knowledge, skills, experience
  • Strong grasp of networking, security, and reliability fundamentals
  • Strong experience and knowledge of AWS, GCP or Azure cloud infrastructure is desired
  • Experience and a fundamental understanding of CICD practices
  • Excellent understanding of Agile methodologies and practices
  • Previous success in technical engineering
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code technologies such as Terraform, Cloudformation, ARM Templates or Cloud Development Manager

Preferred (Not essential)
  • Experience in operationally supporting cloud native microservices
  • Ability to program (structured and OO) with one or more high level languages, such as Python, Golang, Java, C#, C++, Ruby, or JavaScript
