We are hiring a Settlements Officer, based in Ireland, who is responsible for facilitating the day to day processing of client inward and outward funds in accordance with company policy and dealer requirements for Irish and European customers.

Note: This role is currently remote but upon return to the office, OFX will be adopting a hybrid model of working (in-office and remote).
What you'll do
Settlements
- Daily completion of designated statements in accordance with our 24-hour model
- Intraday inward funds reconciliation
- Process accounts payable, bank reconciliations and other related expenses for the Irish entity
- Manage the entities safeguarded accounts in accordance with local regulations
- Clarification of client / front office instructions
- Inputting client beneficiary instructions
- Outward payment processing
- Trace enquiries
- Bank Account Reconciliation
- Payment Investigations
- Hedging company exposure with external counter-parties
- Support the management of the Operations inbox - emails received from overseas offices and front-office teams
- Working closely and collaboratively with operations teams in Sydney, Toronto, London and San Francisco offices
- Liaising with outsourced functions based in other offices, including treasury and finance
- Respond to day to day enquiries from locally based dealers in relation to operational issues which would include the receipt and settlement of client deals or client identification requirements
- Client liaison as needed for investigation of payment instructions or location of funds
- Assist with ad-hoc projects and IT change requests
- Act as an ambassador for, and promote the best interests of OFX at all times, including the promotion of the company values
- Undertake such other duties as maybe required from time to time as are consistent with the responsibilities of the post and the needs of OFX
- Intermediate to advanced levels of Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel
- An understanding of foreign exchange markets, foreign exchange terms and culture ideal
- Able to communicate effectively with employees from all parts of the company, and be able to present a highly professional image when representing the Company in person or by phone
- Able to demonstrate a thorough approach to work, showing attention to detail and work accuracy
- Demonstrates effective team work with flexibility and willingness to take on roles outside the roles normal functional responsibility if required

- Highly organised and proactive
- Ability to multi-task, prioritise and manage deadlines effectively and efficiently
- You must have full working rights in Ireland to be considered for this position.
