The Scrum Master role is a crucial role that is responsible for establishing delivery rhythm championing our agile practices within the team. The successful candidate will provide business expertise and practical agile experience to ensure that their team consistently delivers quality software. They will take responsibility for removing impediments and do everything in their power to remove obstacles that are preventing the team from accomplishing its sprint goals. They will facilitate the necessary meetings to ensure that the team is working effectively with each other and with all key stakeholders while regularly examining their work practices and holding the team accountable for continuous improvement.
What you'll do:

  • Helping a self-organizing team to deliver effectively
  • Facilitate daily stand-up meetings
  • Effectively manage the backlog of work for the team and perform planning for each sprint
  • Identify blockages that impede delivery and work to resolve them
  • Communicate the progress of the team in each sprint and drive the team to ensure sprint commitments are fulfilled
  • Display leadership qualities and a passion for working collaboratively
  • Assess the scrum maturity of the team and coach the team to higher levels of Scrum maturity
  • Build a trusted and safe environment where problems can be raised, and the focus is on problem solving
  • Embed and champion a culture of continuous improvement in technology and throughout the organization
What you'll bring:

  • Minimum of 2+ years' experience in a Scrum Master Role
  • Relevant Scrum master certificate or Agile Certification
  • Experience working in client/consumer facing projects and roles
  • Proven ability to drive and motivate scrum teams
  • Demonstrated experience working on Scrum and/or Kanban based products
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Ability to think on your feet and learn quickly
  • Knowledge of and significant experience working with Jira and Confluence is required
  • Experience in Financial services is desirable
  • Experience with GCP desirable
  • Collaborative style
  • A good sense of humor
