Purpose of your role
The Global Compliance Platforms and Controls Manager works with a range of stakeholders across the business to lead change and continuous improvement of OFX's global Compliance controls. This role will provide the global coordination of technical support on business initiatives and projects. The focus areas for this role are:
  • Identify opportunities and drive improvements.
  • Provide analysis, statistics and reporting across the Compliance function.
  • Advise on new business initiatives and technology projects.
Having an intimate understanding of the OFX customer journey across our consumer and business lines you understand the risks and the necessary controls and share this understanding with internal and external partners.

Key Aspects of the Role
  • Lead the development and integration of risk management and compliance platforms, policies and processes.
  • Create global consistency of compliance processes, taking ownership of compliance systems.
  • Drive and facilitate the continued optimisation (tuning) of Compliance systems by way of rule reviews, trend analysis, and customer and threat profiling.
  • Provide relevant data analytics and information for the Compliance function, including production of regular metrics and provision of information for Committees, audits, independent reviews and regulatory requests.
  • Prepare and drive delivery of corrective action (remediation) plans to uplift data quality or improve processes in regard to identified matters/incidents/clients.
  • Take ownership of change management within the Compliance function and communicate this to the business as required. Partner with the business to develop and enhance the broader control environment.
  • Partner with the business, in particular with the Client Due Diligence function, to ensure end to end processes are complete and efficient.
  • As the key point of contact for compliance platforms and controls, provide prompt and thorough advice and guidance to the business and external stakeholders on enquiries and complex matters.
  • Key point of contact for global product and technology projects or changes to ensure compliance controls and platforms are sufficiently understood and integrated.
  • Provide support to and leadership as a key member of the Compliance team.
What you bring
Knowledge, skills, experience
  • 5+ years' experience in Risk and Compliance, ideally within the financial sector.
  • Knowledge of current AML/CTF, Risk, Anti-Fraud and broader financial services obligations and frameworks, with exposure across a number of geographies.
  • Experience managing and setting/tuning rules within technology platforms used by financial services Compliance functions.
  • Up-to-date understanding of typologies, trends and operational risks.
  • Critical thinking, ability to make logical findings and clearly articulate those findings.
  • Project management and the ability to prioritise work and resources, keeping business objectives at the forefront of the decision-making process.
  • Leadership skills and ability to coach and manage a team.
  • Strong stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the capability to articulate complex technical information.
  • Ability to maintain high standards of accuracy and work under pressure to achieve deadlines.
  • Demonstrated self-initiative and ability to work unsupervised.
