QA Engineer

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

In this position, you will get to:

  • Planning and further developing quality testing. Analyzing internal quality problems and customer quality problems. Identifying potential for improvement. Technical QS representative in development projects. Ensuring the technical input of manufacturing experience from previous projects and taking critical features into account in the projects (development of specifications for the projects).
  • Estimating the scope of the test. Selecting and specifying measuring and testing equipment or devices. Create, test and release test programs. Create test instructions including documentation of the entire test process and estimation of process times. Create and continually update technical documents. Technical management in the implementation of FMEAs, which are initiated by the specialist departments. Ensuring, taking into account critical features from a QA and manufacturing perspective.
  • Implement quality planning Define and initiate measures, check the effectiveness of the measures and initiate measures for quality assurance/improvement. Implementation of quality assurance measures. Check effectiveness and initiate corrective measures if necessary. Determine the test method (e.g. test sharpness, measuring method, measuring equipment, etc.). Making decisions in general borderline and special cases and monitoring measures.
  • Carrying out optimization measures and change processing "Check and optimize existing processes for quality improvement potential. Carry out or initiate the necessary implementation measures.
  • Make suggestions for the quality design of components/assemblies. Support of construction and production planning in quality-oriented design.
  • Ensuring and implementing critical features and requirements. Preparing and leading quality discussions both internally and with customers and suppliers.
  • Auditing and supplier support internationally Plan, carry out and document internal and external audits.
  • Supervise suppliers regarding quality standards and assurance, further develop concepts and set specifications for initial sampling. Take action if there are quality problems.
  • International customer service, analyzing and evaluating customer specifications. Contact person for customers for new and existing projects with quality questions about products and processes. Responsible for defining and executing measures for quality problems. Monitoring the effectiveness of the measures.
  • Production support Instruct the employees entrusted with testing tasks (worker self-testing) and support them in the event of problems.
  • Develop quality statistics, prepare information about the current status of quality-relevant production data (e.g. failure rates, rework, costs) and evaluate the causes. Management of quality control loops to define and implement improvement measures.
  • Ensure and further develop the quality management system. Ensure, systematic maintenance and further development of the quality management system. Continuous collaboration in the further development of the group-wide QM system, taking into account different local and normative requirements. Development of concepts taking into account the various requirements and global rollout of process changes in collaboration with the locations.
  • Defining qualification measures; Promote cost-conscious actions and improvement processes, ensure that cost targets are achieved. Monitor compliance with legal, collective bargaining agreements, company regulations, UVV, etc. Initiate or carry out personnel measures, including with the involvement of other departments, assess, promote and further train employees. Conduct employee discussions and demonstrate conflict solutions.

YOU HAVE:

  • Possession of at least a Bachelor's Degree and/or a technical background
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the role of a QA Engineer
  • Training and qualifications equivalent to a lead auditor for conducting internal and/or supplier audits
  • Proficient in working with refrigerating equipment, with a preference for experience with regulators
  • Prior experience with managing quality systems and adhering to company requested standards
  • Proficiency in using MS Office
  • Strong English language skills, both spoken and written.
