National Sales and Business Development Manager

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

In this position, you will get to:

  • Report directly to the Director of Sales - nVent EFS Asia
  • Lead, manage and develop a team of dedicated and professional salespeople while owning direct responsibility and management of specific accounts or growth Vertical or region as assigned
  • Lead and execute key strategic commercial sales growth projects and initiatives working with Sales Director, Vertical Leaders and Sales team members.
  • Drive sales growth and expansion for India EFS market leading a team of technical sales professional utilizing technical value sales approach with end-users, design institutes/consulting companies and other specifying engineers.

YOU HAVE:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and or applicable experience in technical sales (engineering or technical discipline preferred)
  • Previous experience in or with:
    • 10 or more years of selling experience in technical environment
    • Preferably 5 years' experience in Sales Management
    • Experience in hunting new business opportunities, tracking engineering project's independently.
    • Experience working with end user customers and distribution on projects
    • Experience working with a CRM, preferably Salesforce and other BI tools such as Aquarius Cognos.
    • Experience with electrical, mechanical, HVAC, data & telcom, fire protection, or seismic bracing products.
    • Ability to adapt to evolving business circumstances

    • Strong interpersonal skills and team building with all levels within an organization
    • Skill to create and implement sales plans aligned with the SBU's strategic vision.
    • Skills must include good interpersonal skills, as well as written and verbal communication skills, and ability to understand information and ideas as presented.
    • Skill in developing and delivering effective convincing formal presentations at all levels to individuals and groups
    • Ability to build and maintain effective work relationships, both internal and external, and establish credibility with business partners.
    • Familiarity with regional codes and standards (International building codes, as well as an understanding of the regional market)
    • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize time/workload in order to accomplish tasks and meet deadlines.
    • Ability to travel within the region ~60% of the time on average.
