WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

Responsible for the safe and efficient installation, testing and commissioning of engineered systems based on nVent products, electric heat tracing (EHT) systems including power and control & monitoring systems. This role is predominantly construction site based target country is Belgium ( mainly Antwerp region) . There can also be a requirement to support at other construction sites in WE Europe.

You will report to the Project Coordinator

In this position, you will get to:
  • Carry out projects independently;
  • Execute activities on basis of project drawings, specifications, planning, procedures, quality requirements and VCA **safety standards;
  • Promote a positive approach to Health and Safety and carry out activities in line with applicable legislation and nVent's EHS Manual and associated processes;
  • Monitor and report project progress on a daily basis; actual progress against initial agreed schedule instigating corrective measures where necessary to ensure deadlines are met;
  • Maintain daily contacts with the customer concerning work to be carried out, planning, more/ less work and completion/ handover of the work;
  • Find and repair faults in EHT systems including power and control and monitoring panels
  • Installation of electrical Heat tracing on occasional basis;
  • Supervision of the electrical installation and turnover to the customer;
  • Carry out site surveys of existing installations (auditing heat trace system, panels and/or insulation), identifying opportunities for potential future work
  • Feedback lessons learned to Proposals and Project teams with the aim of improving systems and processes.


YOU HAVE:

  • Proven experience as a service technician in the industrial sector including hazardous areas;
  • Do have a VCA / SCC (Safety Certificate for Contractors) certification; or country specific.
  • Graduated technical high school;
  • Languages: Fluent in Dutch written and spoken, any other language is an extra (English is preferred);
  • Experience: at least 2 to 3 years of practical experience in electrical services;
  • Good communication skills and a proven team player;
  • Be a self-starter/self-motivated, detail oriented and a good communicator (fluent English language both written and oral). A problem solving attitude and ability to 'think on your feet' is essential
  • Act as an "Ambassador" for nVent when interacting with Client;
  • Affinity in the use of Microsoft Office components like Excel, Word, Outlook
