We are currently seeking a Senior Financial Consultant to join our team in Nashville, Tennessee (US-TN), United States (US).

Overview of job:

Information Technology Consulting - This Senior Financial Analyst (FA) will assist the client in reconciliation and maximization of funding from all available sources through analysis of current funding sources, researching available funding and assisting in obtaining that funding by providing supporting documentation related to CMS Federal Funding Projects. The candidate will collect and analyze financial information to ensure the client can utilize all available federal funding. Additionally, will work directly and collaboratively with vendors, business users, and the client to provide recommendation and supporting documentation to obtain supplementary funding.

Job Responsibilities Include:
  • Assess the current use of federal funds and recommend opportunities for further use of available funds.
  • Assess the current tracking of funds from request through actual receipt of funds providing recommendations for process improvements
  • Establish or update protocols and procedures for tracking and retaining backup financial information to support internal State budget requests and Federal audits
  • Assist the client in creating financial deliverables and supporting project documentation for inclusion in Advanced Planning Documents (APD) and updates as well as other funding mechanisms such as federal grants.
  • Identify financial report needs and develop solutions for client
  • Assist with the monitoring of APD expenditures
  • Assist with developing and maintaining spreadsheets for tracking all project expenditures.
  • Verification and assessment of contractor compliance of the project level financial requirements.
  • Identify and report project specific financial issues and risks
  • Attend project and status meetings
  • Interface with client, vendor, and business users
  • Research and provide recommendations to the client on critical business decisions
  • Collaborate with other team members to provide subject matter expertise and assistance as applicable
  • Ensure that all project identified processes and methodologies are executed and followed as applicable
  • Employee is expected to undertake any additional duties as they are assigned by their manager

Basic Qualifications:
  • Minimum 8 years of experience working in healthcare and/or financial environment, preferably in State government
  • Minimum 5 years' experience working with large-scale budget spreadsheet forecasts
  • Minimum 5 years working knowledge of Advanced Planning Documents
  • Minimum 3 years proficient in Excel; excellent analytical skills and logical thinking ability.
  • Bachelor's/master's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 3 years understanding of state and/or federal budget process

Preferred Skills:
  • Strong Customer Service Skills
  • Experience in business and/or technical skills
  • Tennessee state specific knowledge and expertise
  • Familiar with CMS Advanced Planning Document process
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills


Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this remote role is $89,032 to $125,000. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
