Summary

Focus on optimizing patient access and outcomes by providing up-to-date compound and disease area medical expertise, acting as a key expert in the relevant therapeutic area assigned, and leading across functions to address external and internal stakeholder needs.Responsible for scientifically engaging, collaborating and aligning with a broad range of external stakeholders to co-create value, address identified patient needs and ultimately change the practice of medicine for better patient access and outcomes.

About the Role

Major accountabilities:

  • Ensure appropriate identification and mapping of external stakeholders, aligned to the medical strategy, and in collaboration with other Novartis colleagues. Able to create personalized, flexible engagement strategies and plans, leveraging multiple channels and tailored content to meet the changing needs of external stakeholders
  • Ensure medical enquiries are responded to in a high quality, timely manner, and in accordance with applicable standards; establish standard response documents as appropriate, for frequently asked questions.
  • Coordinate review and approval of medical materials and locally developed promotional materials; ensure medical materials provided from global or region for stakeholder engagement and events are tailored to local needs, and reviewed/approved per local/global guidelines.
  • Ensure medical insights are provided to cross functional groups, including, but not restricted to: Pharmacovigilance, Regulatory affairs, Market Access, QA, Commercial teams, Brand team and others.

Key performance indicators:

  • Optimal alignment of Medical Affairs plan execution with the Therapeutic areas, Disease Areas and Brand strategies, lead to an optimal launch
  • Reporting interactions, and scientific contributions on a timely basis
  • Works within Ethics & Compliance policies -Achievement of annual targets for medical activities

Minimum Requirements:

  • MD, MD (dentistry) or Pharmacist. Preferred: post-graduate/doctoral degree degree in health/life sciences.
  • Fluent oral and written English & Local Language (Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian)

Work Experience:

  • Pharmaceutical industry experience (minimum 3 years)
  • Strong medical and scientific bases and agility to transverse the diseases' area
  • Operations Management and Execution.
  • Project Management.

Skills:

  • Good planning and organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills and customer orientation
  • Strong medical and scientific writing skills

Languages :

  • English, Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian
