Job Description
Supervises and coordinates the staff and daily activities of staff in a laboratory. Ensures the validity and accuracy of test results. Coordinates staff, materials, and equipment needs.
Job Responsibility
- Promotes Clinical Laboratory department goals by selecting, motivating, and training capable team members.
- Leads the activities of assigned Clinical Laboratory team members by communicating and providing guidance toward achieving department objectives.
- Oversees timely filling of all laboratory requests.
- Monitors supplies of reagents to ensure adequacy at all times.
- Supervises Blood Bank staff, including training, discipline.

Job Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- Current License to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist in New York State required, plus specialized certifications as needed.
- 4-6 years of relevant experience and 0-2 years of leadership / management experience, required.
- Experience in Cancer lab is preferred
