Diagnose and determine cause and location of failures and malfunctions and perform the electro-mechanical operations necessary to repair, rebuild, replace equipment, components, sub-systems, and systems (electrical with mechanical) on weld related equipment, fabrication equipment where methods, tools and instructions are sometimes provided.

Successful completion of applicable welding equipment service training provided by OEMs - at minimum, a Miller Service Repair Training Certificate is required.
Responsibilities include maintaining service records, managing a repair parts inventory, and ensuring inventory is secured and relished to support production needs.
Job Duties:
1. Receive direction from supervision.
2. Work closely with and take direction from weld engineering in diagnosing weld quality issues and working special project alterations to welding equipment to support production and related improvement initiatives.
3. Read and follow safety regulations (OSHA, NFPA 70E, HAZMAT), work authorizations, specifications and service manuals.
4. Install new/used fabrication equipment and stations as directed.
5. Diagnose and determine cause of equipment issues, component and system failures and malfunctions and identify defective parts. Utilize Manufacturer's Manuals, schematics, calls to service centers, and other troubleshooting as necessary. Use special test equipment as required.
6. Trouble shoot both electrical and mechanical issues on equipment and repair using various tools and equipment.
7. Plan the sequence of operations and methods to be used for complete and/or partial repair, rebuilding / replacement and adjust a variety fabrication equipment for optimum performance.
8. Maintain, manage, and order consumables and spare parts for Fabrication Equipment and machines
9. Replace, repair, splice, and install pneumatic hoses, gas lines, conduits, and electrical cables
10. Operate welding systems and equipment to determine machine performance.
11. Attend company-provided electrical and/or mechanical troubleshooting training, as necessary
12. Perform Preventative Maintenance on equipment as described by Manufacturer, such as blowing out filters, replacing fluids, changing consumables, lubricating fabrication equipment, and other activities
13. Be able to operate scissor lifts as necessary.
Basic Qualifications:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
2. Must be able to lift and maneuver up to 25lbs regularly.
3. A minimum of three (3) years of work experience performing any welding techniques such as GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding), FCAW (Flux Core Arc Welding), GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding).
4. A minimum of three (3) years of experience performing Preventive Maintenance involving fluid and filter change, lubrication and fluid checks, testing and verifications on welding machines.
5. A minimum of one (1) year of experience using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) documenting completed work orders assigned, maintaining parts inventory, and parts ordering.
6. A minimum of one (1) year of experience utilizing safety protocols such as LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out), PPE (Personal Protective Equipment e.g. face shields, gloves), & PAPR (Positive Air Purifier Respirator).
7. Vocational or Military Technical Certification in Welding, or Mechanical Technology.
8. United States Citizenship is required.
9. Successful completion of company-provided basic electrical troubleshooting training is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Associate's Degree in Electromechanical Engineering or related technical field.
2. Experience maintaining and troubleshooting robotic welding cells and their associated PLC systems.
3. Miller Welding Equipment Maintenance Certification.
4. Experience with troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of high voltage (1K/1K VAC) welding machines and fabrication equipment.
