Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking Senior Plumber to join its team. This position is located in Linthicum, Maryland.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Plan, install, modify, repair, and maintain all building infrastructure equipment plumbing and piping systems, associated components and equipment. Perform various brazing and/or welding operations on all types of metals to fulfil the duties and responsibilities under this job classification. Repair and rebuild condensate pumps and trouble shoot condensate receivers. Repair and rebuild circulation, transfer and booster pumps like Bell Gosset, TACO and Armstrong. Trouble shoot and repair steam and hot water skids. Repair and rebuild steam traps, repair DI system tanks and Pumps. Trouble shoot and repair Glycol systems for Plant infrastructure equipment. Remove, repair, replace plumbing sewer sump pumps. Trouble shoot repair and clean Heat Exchangers. Assist HVAC team with HVAC unit plumbing issues.

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT:
Various hand or power tools needed to fulfil the job responsibilities of this job description, including but not limited to, pipe threading equipment, power saw and brazing equipment, power saw. Ability to operate forklift trucks, safety equipment, and drive company vehicles.

MATERIAL:
All types of piping, including but not limited to copper, steel, brass, cast iron, and plastic. Soldering materials, compressed gas cylinders, glue, thread sealants and any other material related to pipe fitting or plumbing. Able to pro-press up to 4" copper.

DIRECTIONS OF OTHERS:
Guide and assist lower classified Maintenance personnel as required. Train and guide code 13 techs.
Work side by side with Department HVAC Techs. Assist Guide and Train as needed to ensure continuity between departments.

PERFORM WORK OF EQUAL OR LOWER SKILL LEVEL AS REQUIRED:
Perform other miscellaneous duties, which may fall within the scope of this position.
1. Obtain all necessary information to perform job assignment from management, engineering, suppliers, or equipment manufacturers and report any discrepancies to management or engineering. Plan and layout work to be performed, check and take measurements, determine material requirements, and make calculations to suit conditions in the field.
2. Install and maintain size and type of piping required to provide services under different temperature and operating conditions which may involve numerous connections and control devices. Install, maintain, modify, and repair such items as steam, air, water, glycol, hot water, chilled water, plumbing in lavatories, kitchens, break areas, labs, sewer lines, tanks, machine and spray booth lines, and pumps.
3. Perform the following operations as needed; measure, cut, bend, thread, hang and insulate pipe; utilize threaded, flanged, glued, soldered, or similar pipe joining methods; dismantle and replace equipment; fabricate brackets and hangers, cut and drill wall, floor, and ceiling openings; flame cut and burn items; erect scaffolding.
4. Perform operations such as rigging and securing equipment, disconnect and reconnect existing electrical pumps, solenoids, etc. as necessary to perform required operations.
5. Follow all Northrop Grumman safety rules and regulations, including but not limited to; lock out tag out procedures, confined space entry, wearing steel toe shoes, and other safe practices and personal protective equipment to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
6. Utilize the Maintenance Connection system to maintain records on equipment preventative maintenance, repairs and time entry.
7. Assist higher classified maintenance personnel and perform other miscellaneous duties which may fall within the scope of this position. Assist HVAC Techs with HVAC system Plumbing issues
8. Work along with contractors or vendors to accomplish the goals set forth by management.
9. Maintain equipment and work areas in a clean and orderly condition. Remove all surplus materials and trash at the completion of the job.
10. Must possess and maintain applicable licenses as required by management.
11. Must use computer and phone to receive daily work orders and apply time worked.
12. Must carry company issued phone during working hours to obtain work orders and answer when needed.

This is an IBEW Union Represented position.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
High School graduate or recognized equivalent.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Must possess Journeyman Plumbing License with a minimum of 10 years related experience and pass a formal structured interview.
