Plan, organize, direct, and control the technical library services providing research, storage, and distribution of technical information needs at Northrop Grumman Marine Systems-Electronic Systems.
WORKING PROCEDURE:
THE FOLLOWING ARE THE USUAL MAJOR JOB DUTIES BUT THIS DESCRIPTION DOES NOT PRECLUDE THE PERFORMANCE OF OTHER TASKS BY THE INCUMBENT, NOR THE QUESTION BEING RAISED ON THE PROPER RATE FOR THE ASSIGNMENT.
Direct effort of others to provide basic reference services for library patrons using a wide variety of resources. Assist project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and Northrop Grumman Marine Systems-Electronic Systems (NGMS-ES) technical staff goals and objectives.
Determine types of technical literature searches and sources of information to satisfy the scientific information needs of researchers and technical staff within NGMS-ES.
Archive, maintain and log legacy technical reports, documentation, and Military Specifications and Standards
4. Monitor library expenditures. Review status of projects and budgets, manage schedules.,. Reconcile invoice payments and replenish deposit accounts.
5. Administrator purchase order requests. Monitor MRP requisition generation efforts
6. Maintain and improve information retrieval capabilities. Update library tools to enter data and formula information needed to support solution of engineering technical data problems. Direct efforts in selection of literature for inclusion in library's collections. Periodically consult with researchers and other information users to ensure maximum usefulness of library services.
7. Maintain classified cabinets of confidential reports according to Security Procedures.
8. Maintain extensive knowledge of literature resources and continuous contacts with local, national, and international information centers and agencies.
9. Perform work of equal or lower code level as required.

Job Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
Minimum of 5 years related experience in librarian/administration role.
Minimum of 5 years related experience in customer-facing roles involving direct communication with customers and internal support teams.
Experience in MS Word and MS Excel creating/formatting documentation.
Experience with Adobe Acrobat, creating and modifying forms.
Able to obtain ability to obtain secret clearance.
US citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with defense industry (military, aerospace, or aeronautics).
Experience with Microfiche software.
Experience with shipping/packaging (domestic and international).
