This position will be located in Huntsville, Alabama.

What You'll Get to Do:
The PBACM Dynamic Test Conductor will be responsible for supporting the Huntsville Dynamics Test Lab with the qualification and acceptance testing of the PBACM element during its dynamic testing.
Duties may include, but not be limited to:

Support vibration, shock and modal testing

Setup control system/consoles. Includes:

Program and run vibration test control/data acquisition computers

Perform software updates to controller PC

Front End module (VibRunner) to Controller PC network verification

Signal conditioners, Vibration Monitor Limiter, Oscilloscopes

Verify control system is configured correctly; Perform electrical end-to-end checks

Run Dynamic Tests/Acquire data

Install test articles to shakers per procedures

Calibrate, install and remove accelerometers; route accelerometer cables

Prepare End Item Data Package; Provide raw data to analyst (if requested)

Able to update lab operating procedures

Must have trouble shooting skills

Able to plan daily test / task operations

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Basic Qualifications:

Test Conductor (Level 2): 2 years of experience with a Bachelors in Science degree; or 0 years of relevant work experience with a Masters degree; or 0 years of relevant work experience with a PhD; or 4 years experience in lieu of education is acceptable.

Principal Test Conductor (Level 3): 5 years of experience with Bachelors in Science degree; or 3 years of experience with a Masters degree; or 1 year of experience with a PhD; or 4 years experience in lieu of education is acceptable.

Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need.

Minimum of 2 years of experience performing test conductor responsibilities

Experience using electronics test equipment (voltmeter, oscilloscope, signal conditioners, etc.)

Familiarity with modal, acoustic, vibe or shock testing methodologies

Ability to work on elevated platforms and lift equipment up to 30lbs

Preferred Qualification

Active US Government DoD Secret (or higher) clearance

AA or equivalent experience

15 or more years of experience working in a dynamics test environment

Familiarity with vibe and shock testing methodologies

Knowledge and/or experience working in aerospace

Ability to take direction and follow company procedures and processes

Self-starter with ability to work with limited supervision

Salary Range: $77,600.00 - $116,400.00Salary Range 2: $95,800.00 - $143,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
