Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is seeking a Technical Services Project Manager - UK Technical Liaison to oversee and manage operational aspects of ongoing projects and serve as liaison between the U.S./UK customer, other government agencies, and the NGMS teams including program management, planning, project teams, and engineering. This position is a project engineering role within the UK Program Office. You will be a Technical Liaison supporting both Vanguard and COLUMBIA/Dreadnought Launcher Programs.

The ideal candidate demonstrates a broad skill set that is balanced between interpersonal, business, and technical capabilities. You have the ability to collaborate within and across teams to accomplish goals. You are committed to ethics, integrity, and innovation while challenging traditional ways of doing business. You have excellent verbal and written communication skills and you are comfortable engaging with the internal and external customers.
Responsibilities include the following:
  • Conduct technical analysis of product implementations, modifications and enhancements to product in accordance with customer specifications
  • Troubleshoots technical problems and issues that arise from internal or external customers
  • Determines technical solution in accordance with product and customer specifications, and recommends actions to company or customer representatives for coordinative product solution
  • Assesses product needs in accordance with customer specifications and requirements
  • Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports
  • Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives
  • Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with engineering, project managers, line managers, and clients.
  • Maintain clear communication with the U.S. customer by phone, email, and in person
Travel will be both domestic and international (UK) travel; frequency will vary but can be up to 25-50% of the time.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline with 2+ years of relevant work experience, or a Master's degree in a STEM discipline
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Experience reading and interpreting government or military specifications
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance is required
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of TRIDENT II Launcher Subsystem and Support Equipment
  • Design and operational knowledge of Navy Programs
  • Experience in business management, international programs, Navy Submarine, and/or Export Compliance
  • Active U.S. Secret level security clearance
  • Experience with cost, schedule, project leadership
  • Experience interpreting engineering drawings
  • Technical background
  • Experience in proposal roles and responsibilities a plus
  • Experience with CAM Responsibilities and EVMS knowledge
Salary Range: $75,300 - $130,800

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
