Lead and develop a team of Systems Test and Evaluation engineers as part of the System Engineering, Integration and Test (SEIT) Team. The Test Engineering (TE) Team is responsible for the planning, execution and reporting of development test activities for the Northrop Grumman Fuze and Warhead Operating Unit. Responsibilities include growing and managing the Test Engineering team, maintaining processes and tools, and collaborating with cross functional teams, including technicians, functional managers, program managers and administrative staff to achieve program objectives.
Specific Responsibilities:

Lead a team responsible for technical planning, test and evaluation for defense-related products.
Coach direct reports in the areas of career development, performance, and teamwork.
Provide technical leadership and Oversight
Balance group workload and staffing requirements to meet current and future program needs. Staff all programs.
Review and approve or prepare detailed test program plans and cost estimates for labor, materials and hardware configurations to meet test objectives.
Review and approve Test Engineering documentation and deliverables.
Leverage knowledge of both commercial and government test facilities and ranges.
Oversee day-to-day test engineering operations, including expense management, workload allocation, and performance management.
Identify, manage and grow critical skills within the test & evaluation team.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including model-driven test and evaluation methods.
Perform as the assigned TE on selected programs; this is a working manager role.
Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline (Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, or Physics preferred) and at least 8 years of Engineering experience, or Masters Degree and at least 6 years of Engineering experience
Familiar with MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-331, MIL-STD-2105, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464.
Minimum of 5 years of directly related test experience (defense or aerospace experience strongly preferred), specifically:
Shock, vibration, climatic, EMC/EMI/HERO and PESD Testing
Data acquisition, instrumentation, transducer use and signal analysis
Warhead Function and Insensitive Munitions testing
Explosive Train Reliability

Experience as a Control Account Manager (CAM) and working in an Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS)
2+ years of experience in project, program, or people leadership
Familiarity with Root Cause Analysis, Fault Tree Analysis and Design of Experiments.
Strong leadership, influence, and project management skills.
Proven ability to collaborate and negotiate across organizational levels to achieve objectives.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Willingness to travel (< 25%) for test activities, program meetings, customer interactions and vendor engagement.
* Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance (US Citizenship required)
Salary Range: $149,400.00 - $224,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
