Our team is looking for a System Engineer to support the U.S. Navy's EA-18G Growler Block I and Growler Block II Programs by supporting systems engineering of the EA-18G's Airborne Electronic Attack Subsystems. The ideal System Engineer will have a background in systems engineering, including experience performing technical writing, working with software requirements, and developing interfaces. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside a multi-disciplinary team to support the design, integration, and verification of electronic warfare systems. We are looking for a highly motivated candidate that enjoys working as part of a team, learning complex systems, and solving problems. What you'll get to do:

Analyze and contribute to software system designs
Define interfaces between multiple subsystems
Create and update software requirements
Work as part of an Agile team
Collaborate with our customer, internal NGC sites, and other technical disciplines
Participate and contribute to peer reviews, critical milestone reviews, and technical inter-change meetings
All tasking will be performed at the Naval Air Warfare Center, Point Mugu and our Northrop Grumman Camarillo, CA office.
This position can be filled at the Systems or Principal Systems level based on the requirements below:

Basic Qualifications for Systems Engineer:

Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) and 2+ years of relevant experience or an MS in a STEM field.
Experience with developing software requirements, design, and interfaces
Experience with requirements management databases (e.g., DOORS)
Familiarity with Atlassian software development and collaboration tool set (Jira and Confluence)
Experience writing technical documents
Must be a U.S. citizen
Active U.S. Secret Clearance.
Ability to work onsite fulltime

Preferred Qualifications:

Background in electronic warfare
Project management experience
Able to demonstrate proven leadership capabilities in Systems Engineering
Demonstrated excellent communication skills
Experience in developing software test plans
Embedded software test development experience
* Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)

This position is contingent upon clearance.

Primary Level Salary Range: $89,400.00 - $134,200.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $110,300.00 - $165,500.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
